Summer Nights

For the past week, Duff and I had been hanging around each other like before. We started to become conjoined at the hip. Later on tonight, the gang planned on meeting at Casa GNR. Eleanor had come over, and was sprawled out on my bed, while Theo was quietly napping.

"So, when are you and D gonna do it again?" Elle smirked

"Eleanor, please." I rolled my eyes

"What?" She giggled defensively

"I do not want to rush anything. I want to make sure that everything goes right, I don't wanna mess this up again." I sighed

Eleanor stared up at me with her gleamy green eyes, her copper hair was fanned out around the bed. I always thought that Elle was beautiful, more so than anyone I've ever seen. She was so graceful, and was effortlessly beautiful and good at anything she did. In a way her facial features reminded me of Axl, both had perfectly chiseled bone structures, striking green eyes, and shiny red hair; although Elle's wasn't as red and bright as Axl's. 

"I know, I was just kidding around.  I want this to work out too. I like seeing you happy." She grinned

"Thanks Ellie." I grinned

I looked up as a soft tap sounded on the door. Duff stood in the doorway with a smile on his lips and glowing eyes.

"Hey." Duff said and gave a small wave

"Hey Duff," Eleanor said, and stood up from the bed

"Well, I better get going. I have work." She sighed

"See ya later." She waved and slipped out of the room

"Whats up?" Duff asked, and flopped down on my bed

"Oh nothin, a typical day at the Isbell house. Izzy screaming at me for touching his things, me screaming back at him, and Hannah screaming at both of us to shut up." I giggled, Duff laughed.

"Well, we should go down to the house. Everyone's there except you Isbell's." Duff said

"It's Izzy's fault. He doesn't wanna go anywhere. Hannah and I have to drag him everywhere."

Duff laughed again, and led me out of the apartment and down to his car. As the car started, one of the most popular songs was on the radio, right off of Appetite. I looked over at Duff and smirked, then turned up the volume. "Welcome To The Jungle" blared out of Duff's car, and the top of his car was down, so everyone got to hear it. The song reminded me of the easier days, when all we did was laugh, make music, and drink.

"Welcome to the jungle, we've got fun and games," I sang with Axl's voice

"We've got everything you want, Honey we know the names." I sang and did Axl's snake dance in my seat, making Duff laugh

Soon he joined in with me, singing and bobbing his head to the music. I leaned over and turned down the volume,

"Remember that time when Slash forgot the intro to this." I giggled

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that." Duff laughed

"That was so funny. Eleanor and I were backstage laughing so hard that I fell over." 

Duff pulled up to the familiar house and walked up to the door and pushed it open. The house was quiet, but there were empty red cups all over the place.

"They must be out back." Duff mumbled and walked to the sliding glass door. 

Slash jumped into the pool, splashing Axl in the face. Matt was sitting in a chair, half asleep, and Gilby was grilling hamburgers and hotdogs.

"Aw hey, Tay!" Steven's voice said, I grinned 

"Stevie!" I said happily and hugged him. His hair was wet, and the droplets tickled my face

"Well what're you waiting for, get in!" 

"Ohh, no. I don't think so." I said, stepping back from the pool

"Aw come on, Tiny, what's got you so scared?" Axl sneered

"Ha ha, funny Rose." I said sarcastically

"Wait-no!" I screeched when someone lifted me up and hovered me over the water, and tossed me in

I looked up and glared at a grinning Izzy. I punched the water, and splashed Izzy.

Steven snuck up behind Izzy and shoved him forward into the water, making me laugh hysterically. 

"Serves you right!" I shouted through my giggles

"Man, what the hell." Izzy whined

"Well you kind of threw her in." Duff said smartly

"Fuck off, McKagan." Izzy mumbled and hoisted himself up onto the deck, ringing out his wet shirt

"Well come on McKagan, aren't you gonna get in?" I smiled

"Mm, I dunno." 

"Get in! In, in, in!" Steven shouted and tried pushing him towards to edge of the pool, but failed since Duff was like a tall tank, and Steven was so small compared to him.

"God, why are you so hard to move?" Steven said

"I dunno." Duff laughed

I took one of the water guns and sprayed him in the face. "Alright, watch out Isbell!" Duff smirked and cannonballed into the pool, he latched himself onto me and dunked me under the water

"That's for bein a shit." He laughed as I coughed up water

"It was worth it." I answered 

"Glad to see you two making peace again." Axl said, his aviator sunglasses were on top of his head, keeping his wet hair back

"Me too, cuz I was afraid she'd eventually kick my ass." Duff laughed

"I do believe she still can." Slash added

"I know." Duff snorted

I glanced up at Duff through the sunlight. His hair wet hair was slicked back into a tangled mess. I tuned out everything that was around me and fixated myself onto him, getting lost in his starry eyes and radiant smile. His voice always sooted me, he talked slowly and deeply, like Axl did. Both of their voices were soothing, almost orgasmic. (Okay like literally they are lmao)

"Taylor." 

"Taylor!" 

"Huh, what?"

"You're daydreaming, and staring at Duff." Axl said

"I was not." I lied

"It's okay, we all know that you like to stare at Duff,"

"Wet or not, clothed or no-"

"Shut up!" I grumbled

"Don't worry, I've had my fair share of being embarrassed from staring at you." Duff winked, I giggled and made my way over to the edge of the pool and got out. I wrapped myself up in a towel and laid down in the chair. Duff came over to me and smiled, held up a camera, and snapped a picture.

"Hey, I wasn't ready." I whined

"Relax, you look better than I ever could without even trying." He said, shaking out the polaroid photo

"See," He leaned over and showed me

"Perfect." He said 

"I'm not perfect." I replied

"Well you are to me. And always will be."
