Danielles p.o.v
I fell to my knees again and was screaming his name. They laughed as they walked out. I was so furious now. I could of killed someone at that moment. I ran to the waiting room and used the phone to call the gang. "Hello soda speaking" i heard soda say. "Soda its danielle the socs got pony again in the hospital and shot him." i said between sobs. "Oh my god we will be right there. Are you ok?" he asked i said yes and he hung up. I ran back in the room only to find oit that the doctor was in there so i had to wait. I really hope he is ok but i know he is dead. Its all my fault. The gang came in with tears in their eyes. I looked right at darry. I ran to him and cried into his chest. He just hugged me and i felt the tears on my head, coming from his cheeks. The doctor came out. "Ponyboy curtis" he said and darry went in.
Darrys p.o.v
I was reading the newspaper and listening to soda and steve arguing about poker, when the phone rang. Soda picked it up. "Hello soda speaking." he said. I rolled my eyes. Next thing i heard soda say "oh my god we will be right there. Are you ok?" i stared at him along with everyone else. He hung up and said 7 words "we are going to the hospital now." before he ran to the car. By the time we got out there he was bawling like a baby and i didnt get the reason why. "Soda what yhe hell are we going to the hospital for." i said. "Pony got shot." he said and went back to sobbing even louder. My eyes went wider than ever. GET IN THE DAM CAR" i yelled at the gang. The quickly got in and i drove off. I had tears in my eyes. We got to the hospital and i saw danny. Sbe was an absolute mess. She saw me and ran over and cried into my chest. I stroked her hair as i hugged her and cried as well. The doctor came out and called me in. I went into a small room. "I have good and bad news." he said "good first please" i said and he continued. "Ok so the bullet missed pony by about an inch. So he isnt hurt " i was relieved. My kid brother was gonna be ok. "Now the bad news is he will have to stay here a little longer because they broke a few ribs and fractured his arm." he finished. I was mad but happy because id rather have him in the condition is now, then not have him alive at all. "Darrel if you would like, we could lock down his room so only certin people can come in." he said. "ok then i only want the following people to come...

Oh and two-bits real name is keith. Thanks so much doc" i said. "Its no big deal just trying to keep the kid safe." he said and i walked out with a smile. "So how is he?" soda asked eagerly. "Hes fine the bullet didnt hit him. but he has to stay here for a little longer because they broke a few oh his ribs and fractred his arm. I was able to lockdown the room so that only us and carter can go see him." i said. Dannys face lt up and she ran to his room. We followed her but she was already there holding his hand by the time we got in. "Why does everything happen to him?" she asked. "I dont know honey, i just dont know." i told her. she whispered in something in his ear before kissing him on the lips and the forehead. "Ok lets go." she said with a smile. And we left to go home. "Um danielle what happened to you?" steve asked." socs but whats new." she said. "Wait stop the car" she said. I stopped and she jumped out. She ran over to a red corvette and said something to the socs inside of it. I wonder if they did this to pony. Danielle ran back over here as the socs tried to run her over. I glared at them and they stopped. She came in the truck and they drove off angrily. She laughed and we drove off too. "Danny are those the socs that did that to you too?" soda asked. She nodded, still smiling. We got home and sbe ran to the kitchen and grabbed the choclate cake. Danny is back and so is the gang.
Dannys p.o.v
On our way home i saw the socs that jumped us. I told darry to stop the car and he did. I ran out and got to the socs car. "You guys lost because the bullet wasnt even near him. All you did was fracture his arm and broke a few ribs." i said with a smirk. "Well then boys lets pay our litlle friend another visit tomorrow." the leader said. "Ohbyou cant because his roomnis on lock down" i said. i know that pissed them off because as was walking to the truck, they tried to run me over but darry glared at them. They let me cross before they drove off. We drove off after that and when we got home i ran right inside. I grabbed the chocolate cake and everyone laughed. I was happy to be back to normal. That night was easy for me. I was finally happy for once in a long time.
