Unexplainable feelings

"Lavaball?" Kana asked no one in particular as she held her chin. She frowned and shook her head. "No, not that too." She said with a sigh. "Or how about the lava explosion?" She asked as she turned to Kakashi for his opinion. He opened his mouth to reply but he cut himself short because Kana quickly looked away, shaking her head. "Not that." Kakashi quickly walked ahead of her and just lead the way. They have been walking around the forest for a while now and Kakashi said that he was going to show her something. So, to keep her occupied while Kakashi tried to figure out the whole forest, she was trying to think of a name for that jutsu. "Oh, I know!" Kana exclaimed with a big smile on her face. "The exploding doom of death!"

"We're here." He announced lazily. Kana focused her attention to her surroundings and her jaw dropped to ther floor as she gazed at her surroundings in disbelief. They were at a beautiful lake that had an amazing view. Trees surrounded the area and the lake was crystal clear. The grass was green as ever and it was so very peaceful. "When I was trying to find you yesterday, I saw this. I thought it was time for you to rest after all the training you have been through." He explained as he ran a hand against the back of his neck nervously.

"It's perfect, Kakashi-san. Thank you." She said sincerely. "I really appreciate this." She said with a sweet and genuine smile. Kana walked toward the lake, and bent down to dipped her finger in it. She shivered at the cold, but she quickly got used to it. A smile formed her lips as an old memory suddenly came flooding back to her...

"Daddy, what are they doing?" She asked her father curiously as she tugged the hem of her father's shirt to catch his attention. Kana was five years old then, and she was quite small for her age.

"Dancing." He replied with a soft smile. "One day, you'll get to learn how to do that too." Kana looked at the man and woman dancing gracefully on the water. She was quite amazed at how they could dance on the water without getting wet. The man and woman were staring deep into each others eyes as their body danced to the beat's rhythm. The woman gracefully swayed her lips to match the rhythm while the man held her waist and did some fancy foot work. In short, they were simply amazing, especially in the eyes of Kana.

Kana pouted, she was quite jealous at them to have such a fine talent. She couldn't wait to learn how to dance or to even walk on water like them. Someday... She thought to herself cheerfully.

Kana let out a deep sigh as she remembered how hard she practiced to get the foot work right. She chuckled to herself when she remembered how many times she kept on stepping on her teacher's feet or accidentally hitting him on the face. But after all that effort, she finally got it right. Not only that, she can stand on water now.

Kana started to hum to herself the classic song that she used to dance to with her teacher before. She stood up properly and extended her arms like as if she was holding someone. With proper posture, she twirled and danced on top of the lake while humming the song to herself cheerfully. She felt so free...so relaxed.

Kakashi glanced at her from his pervy book. He arched an eyebrow at her. What is she doing? He asked himself inwardly. He was confused but at the same time amazed. She was so graceful, it was as if she wasn't standing on water at all. "Kakashi-san?" She called. Kakashi's eye widened slightly when he realized he was staring at her the whole time like some fool.
