Chapter 42

Logan's pov

"What?" I asked shocked and he took my hand in his. His eyes looked, truthful, real. Like he felt sorry and didn't want to do what he did, it made my heart stop, happy.

"I feel awful for what I did, I shouldn't have done anything that I did to you, it was wrong. I was a terrible person, after you ran off and I was at the park alone, I thought about everything I have done. High school started, so did the new me. Whatever was in the past, it's still there. I'm a new person."

"Charlie I believe you, but I just don't know. I don't know if I can date you again, I'm already in a love situation, and this is happening now."

He sighed and looked down as sad as a puppy when you take it;s bone, "I understand," he faced the fact he couldn't change my mind, "but I'll always be here, no matter what."

"Maybe we can hang out someday?" I suggested and he smiled lightly, nodding.

"Yeah, I'd like that."

"Boys are jerks" I told Shawn when I got home.

"Hey, you finally caught on!" he smiled and I rolled my eyes at him. I dropped my bag on the couch, then walked over to the counter and sat at the island s he made hot chocolate, "What happened?"

"Lucas, Farkle, and Zay are making me choose between them, I don't want to choose because I don't want it to hurt anyone, and it will."

"So you have a decision?"

"Yeah, I think, I mean, he;s always been there for me, he seems like the best decision. Once all of this happened, it just hasn't been the same. I want it to be again."

"Then choose friendship."

"Huh?" I asked confused. Friendship? I think it's too late for that."

"Yeah," Shawn said like it was obvious, "Don't choose someone."

"But they want me to choose someone."

"Then choose who you want to be with, who you want to date. They want a choice? Give them one."

"I guess." I sighed. "I just don't want anyone hurt."

"You've tried friendship, nothing has happened. You have to move on from it." he looked at me serious, "You need to make yourself happy, stop being so selfless."

"I guess, thank Shawn."

"Anytime." he handed me a mug of hot chocolate and I smiled. I hated my life before, but maybe Shawn adopting me was a good decision.

Lucas' pov

I sat down in Topanga's and Maya waked over.

"Hey huckleberry." she sat down and I chuckled.

"Hey Hart."

"What are you doing here?" she asked confused, since I was only here when we were hanging out.

"Just thinking." I shrugged.

"Go to her." she blurted out and I looked at her confused.

"What?"

"You're the only one who hasn't fought, I know that you want to change, but that's why this whole thing happened. Because you were scared."

"I'm not scared." I scoffed and crossed my arms across my chest.

She laughed, "Then why aren't you admitting anything"

"Because I don't feel like it."

"Well, go feel like it ranger rick." she smirked, "Is cowboy scared?"

"No."

"Then go!" she pulled me up and pushed me out to the bakery. I sighed and did as she said, afraid of what might happened if I didn't. I thought about what to say, how to explain it. Finally deciding, I felt my hand knock on the door.

The brunette opened the door, wearing a baggy sweatshirt and sweatpants. She had the English book we were suppose to be reading in her hand as she stood there, still looking as beautiful as ever.

"Hey."

"Hi." I smiled.

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated, it just takes awhile to write some chapters and all so they don't go up ever week, but Christmas break I want to get at least five chapters up!

What do you guys think of the new cover? Better? Worse?

So did Charlie actually change, or is part of an act? And who is Logan thinking about? Lucas, did he go to Riley or Logan? So many questions, some will be answered next chapter ;)
