Chapter 55

Logan's pov

Shawn and I were packing the car the next morning as Mr. Matthews watched.

"You're going on a trip?" he put a hand over his heart. "Without me?"

"Cor," Shawn put a hand on his shoulder, "Topanga won't let you go."

"She doesn't have to know." he argued, "We can go now."

"If you want to be divorced go ahead." Shawn held up his hands in defense. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest.

"This is getting weird." I stated. "Can we go?"

"I'm just gonna go grab something inside." Shawn told me. "Then we can." I nodded and he went inside with Cory following. I went on my phone till I heard someone coming up. I turned around quickly and saw Lucas running over.

"Hey Lucas, what's up?" i asked him confused. He was panting heavily trying to catch his breath. Once he did, he looked at me and we made eye contact. I felt my heart skip a beat.

"I have to do this."

"Do what?" I asked confused. He cupped my cheeks and kissed me on the lips, and I didn't pull away and resist. I kissed him back until we released and he smiled. I was in pure shock.

Did I just kiss Lucas?

Did he just kiss me?

Did he just want to kiss?

Does this mean he likes me?

But for how long?

"I'm not gonna let anyone else dictate my life." he stated. "I've been letting people do that to me for too long, and this is my moment." he took my hands into his."Will you be my girlfriend?"

I smiled and felt my face turn red, "I thought you'd never ask."

Lucas' pov

All night I thought about what Zay said, I can't ask out Logan. It'll ruin everything. I need to make things right with everyone.

But why?

Why do I have to make everything right? Why do I have to make sure everyone is ok? Why do I have to make everything right in their life before letting myself be happy?

Why am I letting people dictate my life?

I quickly stood up and put on my shoes to be stopped by my mom.

"What are you doing Luc?"

"I have to make myself happy." i told her and ran out. I ran as fast as I could.

I have to catch her before she leaves.

I have to make myself happy.

I turned the corner, almost falling on my side, but I quickly caught myself. I kept running until I made it to the apartment complex.

I was just on time.

She was just about to leave

I can finally ask Logan out.

A/N: Oops I just did that ;)

Guys I might put this book to an end soon. It's getting really long and I think it's time.
