Clove Chapter 1

I get into bed and tuck my self in. It's reaping day tomarrow. I am both excited but nervous. I am only fifteen years old and I have taken 4 tessara because I was eager and wanted my name in more times . My name is only in the reaping a total of seven times. The odds of me being chosen are very slim because district two has a large population. I wake up super early That morning. Every year on reaping day all of the kids between the age Of twelve and eighteen go for one more training just in case we get picked. Our district along with district one train for this our whole life's even though it illegal. I meet up with my best friend jenna, we have the same trainer his name is cacia. He told us last minute tips and survival skills just incase we were chosen. I didn't really care it because I knew I wouldn't be.
