Winter's Father

Chapter 11

                          Jace
  I followed Strucker all the way to a vehicle with a man waiting for us.

   "This is Agent Rumlow. He's going to take you to your destination." Strucker said. "Pierce wants you to hack into Nick Fury's computer and take him out of the system. Rumlow is going to take you there." He finshed. Then he left me alone with Rumlow.

   "Well, are you going to get in?" Rumlow asked. I nodded and got into the car.

   The car had a S.H.I.E.L.D. sticker on it. I guess he's an undercover agent.

  I've heard of S.H.I.E.L.D. before.  Hydra says that they are our greatest enemy. I'm not too sure about Hydra. They do have weird methods of doing things. I'm not fond of Strucker either. The only thing I kinda like about Hydra is Winter. I don't know why people are scared of him. I know he's a "cold blooded" assassin, but he doesn't really act like one. We did get off at a bad start though. But it's good now, so far at least.

   The ride was quiet all the way to S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters. It's a really big building. Bigger than I thought it was. We parked in a restricted area, only authorized for S.H.I.E.L.D. agents I guess.

    We got out of the car and I followed Rumlow to the door. When we got to the door, one of the agents stopped me.

   "Sorry kid. You can't go in here." He said. "Don't worry. He's with me." Rumlow said. The agent nodded and let me go.

   Then we continued on our way through the headquarters. We stopped at a door with an impressive security system.

   "Here we are. You can handle the rest." Rumlow said and left me by myself.

   Time to get to work.

   I started with the security system on the door. I had a few hacking devices that I got from Hydra. One was a decoder. I placed the decoder on the security panel. It was decoded in five seconds. The door unlocked and I walked in.

  I walked to the big computer that was on the desk. It was really cool. I was fascinated by it. If I had time, I would check out a bunch of stuff. But sadly, I didn't.
   First, I logged onto the computer, which was really easy. I went on the main system and searched for the man Hydra wanted me to take out.

   "Nick Fury." I said to the computer. "Fury, Nicolas J.  found." It replied. "Delete from system." I ordered. It took a while before it responded. "Cannot complete without a retina scan."

   "Crap." I said to myself. I can't do that. So I did the only thing I could do.

   "Contact Alexander Pierce." I demanded the computer. "Contacting Alexander Pierce." It answered. A few minutes later, his face appeared on the screen.

   "Jace. What do you want?" He asked. I held up a retina replicator device. "Oh yeah. I forgot about the retina scan." He said and put his eye up to the screen. I scanned it and gave him a thumbs up. "You need to hury. He just got out of his meeting." He said and his face left the screen.

   I went back to my regular assignment. "Cannot complete without a retina scan." It said again. I held up the retina replicator and it scanned Pierce's eye. "Deleted." The computer said.

   Then I grabbed my bag and headed towards the door. When I got to the door, a man walked in.

   "Who the hell are you? How did you even get in?" The man asked. I didn't say anything. He looked up at his computer. I left it on by accident.

   "You were on my computer." He said and walked up to it.

   "Fury, Nicolas J.." He said to the computer. "Access denied." It responded. "Fury, Nicolas J.." He said, but louder. "Access denied." The computer said again.

   "What did you do?" He asked and yelled at the same time. I stood there quietly.

   He grabbed my arm and dragged me with him out the door. "You're coming with me."
