                 Winter Soldier
"Swing faster." I said, dodging Jace's punch.

"I'm trying to." He answered back, blocking one of my punches.

"No your not." I replied. It was the fifth day training him. We were going back and forth at each other. It's weird to have someone talk back at me. Especially with an attitude.

"Yes I am!" He raised his voice, kicking my leg, hard. He went at it. Punching and kicking me over and over again, but I blocked all of them.

"I like the adrenaline. Use it more often." I said. "Now, try to block these." I continued. "I will." He responded.

I started to throw punches. He blocked most of them, but he did miss a few. "You got to remember to keep your other hand ready." I said. "Got it." He replied. Then I threw a kick at him. He blocked it. "Good." I complemented. "Thanks." He replied, with a slight smile.

"Now, get out of this." I said and grabbed his arm. I twisted it around his neck, putting him in a headlock. He wiggled around, trying to get out, but he couldn't.

"I give in. You got me." He said, after trying everything he had.

"Giving up is not an option." I said, teasing him. He just let out a sigh. "But, you haven't taught me how to get out of a headlock!" He shouted. "It's called learning on the job." I retorted. He just stood there, in a headlock. "If you're going to be like that, then I should tell you how." I said. "You think." He retorted back.

To be honest, I like this kid's attitude.

Then I let go of him. "Put me in a headlock." I said, bending over so he could rap his arm around my neck.

"You have two options. One, you can punch them really hard in the face. But sometimes, that won't work. So you go to option two. You grab their legs, like this," I said while picking him up in the air. "And you slam them on your knee hard." I finished. I acted like I was going to slam him on my knee, but I didn't though.

"Whoa. But I can't pick up a person that weighs like five times more than me." Jace said. That got me to think.

"We'll work our way around that later, but now, let's have a water break." I answered. Then he went to go get his water bottle.

It was quiet now. So to break the all the sudden silence, I said something.

"I'm glad you finally got out of the only talking to people you trust phase." I said. He took a swallow of his water. "I'm still not out of that." He replied.

"What do you mean?" I asked, surprised. "My answer pretty much explains itself." He retorted back.

"So you trust me?" I asked. "Yeah. Is that a bad thing?" He answered. "I don't know. I'm the last person you would want to trust." I replied. It was true. Who would want to trust a person like me?

"Well, I trust you. If you like it or not." He said, taking another swallow of his water.

"Want some?" He asked, offering me his water. "No, I'm good." I answered.

Then a guard came to get him. Jace grabbed his bag and made his way towards the door.

"See you tomorrow, wait what's your name? I mean, besides the Winter Soldier?" He asked.

That's a question I would like to know. I desperately wanted to say that, but I know I couldn't.

"Uh. I don't know." I said instead. "Oh. Then what should I call you?" He asked. "Whatever you want, I guess." I replied.

"How about Winter? Just till I know your real name." He suggested. "That's fine." I answered.

"Well, see you tomorrow, Winter." He said and left with the guard.

Bye, Jace. I wanted to say that, but he left before I could.

He doesn't know how good it felt to know that someone actually trusts me. My day was made because of him.
