              Winter Soldier
The only thing I could think about was if Jace was okay. I never have cared this much before, or that I can remember. I don't understand why I feel like this. This weird feeling that's inside me, like I have to make sure he's okay.

I've been sitting in my room for two days. I haven't seen Jace in two days. I don't even know if he's alive.

Stop thinking like that. He's alive. A voice said in my head.

Why am I worrying so much? I've only spent six days with the kid. It feels like I've known him for years.

Interrupting me in my thought, I hear someone unlocking my door.

"Mr. Jace has been asking for you. Might as well fulfill his wish." Karpov said as he opened the door.

Maybe this will calm my nerves.

I walked out and he directed me to Jace's room. He opened the door to let me in.

"Here's your request." Karpov told Jace and he left us alone.

"So. How are you feeling?" I asked, trying to start a conversation. "Well, if you don't count the headache and the fractured wrist, I feel amazing." He replied sarcastically. "Glad to hear the good news." I said, teasing.

Jace seemed to have something else on his mind. He wasn't acting like he usually did. Something was wrong.

"Is something wrong?" I asked. He took a deep breath and looked at my arm.

"Do you remember how you got that arm?" He asked. "I-I don't remember." I answered.

That's another thing I don't know. And I would think I would remember losing an arm.

"You lost it when you fell from a moving train." He said, looking away. "How do you know that?" I asked, being really surprised that he knew. "I saw it on your file." He replied.

"So, you also know my name?" I asked, desperately wanting to know.

"It's James Buchanan Barnes. Some people called you Bucky." He answered.

That was my name. It doesn't even sound familiar. Why didn't I know this? Why did Hydra keep this from me?

"Anything else?" I asked, wanting to know more. "Your birth date is March 10, 1917. You were born in Brooklyn, New York." He said, but I don't think that was all he knew.

"Is that all you found out?" I asked, knowing there was more. He looked away. "Jace. Is that all?" I asked more fiercely. He shook his head slowly.

"I didn't find this out in the file. I knew this all along. I should've told you this when we first officially met." He said, still looking away.

This has to something bad if Jace was scared to tell me. So I braced myself for his answer.

I took a deep breath. "What is it?" I asked. He looked at me, looking into my eyes.

"When you were sent to get me when I ran away, that wasn't the first time we met." He said.

I was really confused. What did he mean by that? We met before that?

"Then, when was the fist time we met?" I asked. "When I was born." He answered and looked down.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked, still feeling confused.

"You-you're my dad." He replied, looking back up at me.

What? That can't be true. I would remember the birth of my own child. Would I?

"No. I can't be your father. I would remember if I was." I said.

"You don't remember because they wiped you. They tripled the power so you couldn't." He said.

No, this can't be true. I won't believe it.

"Why would they wipe me?" I asked as I walked around the room. "Because you grew to attached to me. You couldn't stay focused on your missions. They wiped you, because of me. Then they threw me on the streets so I couldn't do it again. They brought me back in when I hacked into their system. They said if I told you anything, they would kill me, so I kept quiet. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you before." He said as his eyes started to water.

"But, I-I can't believe this. It-it's unbelievable. I can't be your, your, your..." I started to get a bad headache. A really bad headache. I fell on the ground. The last thing I hear is Jace yelling, "Bucky!"
