Mr. Leto was a fox. There was nothing silver about him. His dark mahogany strands of hair were neatly slicked back to his neck every time I saw him. His build was lean, but fit for a man peaking in his half of a century here. The way those muscles cleaved to his frame was incomprehensible. And his eyes...his eyes were a piercing blue that stabbed mine like an arrow at each glance. It was always hard to look at him sometimes, not just because of his fierce eyes, but because my mind always wandered into the dark side of reason after a few seconds. Too bad he's the father of my best friend, Allegra Leto.
Everyone else was in Allegra's room. Blasting our favorite pop hits and gossiping about Ethan Jones and what he said in pre-cal class... for a nerd, he's such a douche.
I'd just finished taking a shower and getting my favorite Pink PJs on. I felt so sexy like those models on the TV commercials. I struck a pose as I brushed my teeth. After failing horribly at resembling anything sexy, I packed my toothbrush and girded my loins for Allegra's stories about Ethan.
"Kerri! You take forever in there! We're already downstairs. We're gonna start the movie without you!" Allegra yelled up the stairs from her living room. Boy, she's right on queue.
"Just a minute!" I tried to scramble everything together in my night bag. Major fail. Half my toiletries fall into the hallway floor. Deodorant, nail polish, Q-tips, stain removers, you name it, it was all on the floor.
"Ugh," I sighed as I collected my things. I tried to keep it neat; try is the operative word.
I was almost done collecting the Q-tips when I heard soft rock music from down the hall in Mr. Leto's room. The song sounded so familiar, but I couldn't recognize it. My curiosity led me tiptoeing down the hall. The door was slightly cracked. A soft beam of light made a glowing triangle on the carpet in the hallway.
I was behind the door as I could finally begin to make out the song.
♫ Welcome to the hotel California...♫
An oldie, but a goodie. Mr. Leto has great taste. One time, he-
I almost choked on the air itself. There, Mr. Leto, standing in front of his mirror with nothing but a plush towel covering the lower half of his glistening body. I covered my mouth to hold back any sudden sounds.
He was combing his hair, his long strands of mahogany falling into place behind that sleek neck of his. He was taking his sweet time combing his hair. My eyes wandered down his broad shoulders to his trim chest and rocky abdomen. This man was perfect. I mean, how are women not breaking down the door now? Stupid older biddies, oblivious to a gem right in front of them. Thank God, Mr. Leto is divorced or I'd be so in the wrong right now.
I brought my thoughts back to Mr. Leto's smoking body.
Too bad, that towel covers so much.
And as if the heavens heard my thirsty cry, his hands grasped the towel at his waist.
I bit my finger in anticipation for the glory I was about to behold.
He slowly pulled the towel up to pat his wet body. And I noticed a smirk on his face. It was like he was teasing me. I mean, there's NO way he knows I'm here, that'd be so weir-
He did it. He dropped the towel and my eyes saw it all. I bit down on my finger as my eyes widened to see Mr. Leto's well-endowed, swing-low sweet chariot, in your face, naked glory. My heart raced as my finger was growing more numb by the second. Finally, I released my bruised finger and exhaled as I tried to gain my composure.
Mr. Leto turned his head sharply towards me. I hid behind the door. My heart was racing 10 miles a minute. Every inch of me froze.
"Allegra?" he called concerned.
In a flash I was up and sprinting like a ninja down the hallway. I made it to the bathroom thankful that the light was still on, kicked my night bag in and closed the door ever so gently. Panicking, I flushed the toilet and ran the water, trying to catch my breath.
I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I was flustered as all get up. I looked down to my sweaty palms as I took in the rush that surged through by body.
Knock, knock, knock.
The door? But...who?...oh no. My heart skipped a beat, eyes widening. I looked back at my reflection and thought. Play it cool.
Here goes nothing. I slowly grasped the knob in anticipation and inhaled deeply.
