Chapter 14

When I woke up I found Antonio sleeping on the couch. He smelled like alcohol.

“Antonio. Wake up!” I yelled in his ear.

That’s what he gets for drinking. He woke up with a hangover.

“What the hell?! Why did you wake me up?” Antonio said angrily.

“So you can sleep in your room”, I said.

He grumbled all the way to his room. He can be such a baby. I shook my head at the thought and left for school. I had a smile on my face. I woke up in a great mood. Natasha is my girl. I like the sound of that. I know George and Sam won’t believe it. I can imagine the look on their faces. That thought has me chuckling. I sound like a chick don’t I?

Seriously what is up with that? I ain’t a chick. I strolled my way to school. I don’t think anything can bring me down. Though you never know. As I entered the school I found George and Sam near the doors. I made my way over to them.

“Was up essay”, I said.

“Hola bato”, George said.

“Hey dude”, Sam said.

“Guess what”, I said.

“What?” Sam said.

“I asked Natasha to be my girl and she said yes”, I said.

You could clearly hear how happy I am. Their mouths were hanging open and their eyes were popping out. I almost burst out laughing. They got over the shock.

“Awesome guey”, George said.

“Yeah dude”, Sam said.

“You guys should have seen your faces”, I said chuckling a bit.

“That’s because it was a surprise”, George said.

“Your faith in me is honoring”, I said sarcastically.

“Well you taking a long time so we thought you’d never do it”, Sam said.

“I did. I’m going to find her and present her to you guys. I also wanted to ask you guys something”, I said.

“What?” George said.

“Do you guys want to meet the gang?” I said.

“Yeah bato. When?” George said.

“In two days?” I said.

“Yeah”, Sam said.

“Don’t tell Natasha anything about this. I couldn’t stand to lose her if she knew. She’s not like the other girls”, I said.
