I come across a field of green grass that is taller than the very top of my head. This is the meadow of Echidnas. The meadow of Echidnas is filled with grass that seems impossible to escape from. Unless you're an Echidna. They have the top half of a beautiful woman and a bottom half of a serpent. In Greek mythology, Echidna was a half woman, half snake. She was known as “The mother of all Monsters” because many more famous Greek monsters were mothered by her. The translation of Echidna is “She Viper”.

I step cautiously into the green.

Smells of fragrant flowers fill my nose after walking for a few minutes. Echidnas always like putting flowers in their hair. I must be close. I hear musical laughter. I take a few more steps forward.

On my last step I come to a clearing. Three Echidnas stand together. They turn around at the sound of my footsteps. Their hair is pulled forward to cover their breasts as of they don't have any shirts on. Now here's where it gets a bit complicated. An average Echidna is nine feet tall. Six feet of them is tail, but three of those six feet is laying flat on the ground while the other three feet of tail is standing up straight with the rest of the body. They giggle and smile at me. Echidnas have a habit of seducing men then eating the men they seduce. This isn't good.

“Hey handsome,” The blond says. “You're pretty cute,” The brunette says. “Do you work out because it shows,” The redhead says. Blondie slides over to me. “I'm...uh...Sam.” Please note that Echidnas don't give their real name. If they have a name anyways, which they usually don't.

“Uh, hi?” I say. “Why don't you come back to our place?” Brunette asks. “I'm fine. Thanks though,” I add. “I'm just trying to fine my out of here.” “We could help you,” Redhead declares. “That's a wonderful idea,” The other two say together. I rack my brain for a plan to escape them. My wonderful mind supplies me with an idea.

“How about we make a deal? Take me to the edge of the meadow in exchange for...um,” I say. They look me in the eye. “Do you have anything shiny?” Blondie asks. The silver and ruby necklace comes to mind. “Actually, I do.” I pull the necklace out of my pocket. Julie wouldn't mind me giving it away. It would remind her of Josh killing Scott too much. They all stare at the necklace in my hand. “I'll give it to you after you take me to the edge.” “Fine,” Redhead says. I put the necklace in my pocket.

They lead me to the edge of the grass. They push me out. Large trees stand before me. I turn around. I pull out the necklace. I hold it out in my hand. The brunette snatches it away from me. They all hiss then hide away in their grass.
