Being alone wasn't on my plans for the holidays. The manor was darker and colder than usual, so i packed my things, and dragged myself to spend the New Year at the Burrow. Everybody was there, i mean, even Charlie had brought his baby dragon to keep an eye on her. Apparently it was the offspring of the dragon Draco saw Hagrid have back then. Cute little thing really . Molly didn't like the idea of having a dragon at her home, but i think Charlie got it under control. Percy was there along with his new girlfriend, Audrey. I guess you can say they were pretty serious.
"Hey! We were wondering where you landed." Hermione says, coming into my view, Ginny and George right behind her. I wave at them, and fix my bag strap.
"I was just making sure i had everything."
"It's only for a few days." Ginny comments, rolling her eyes.
"Don't judge me." She laughs as she gives me a hug. George clears his throat and i walk up to him, a small smile on his face.
"Hello." I whisper, wrapping my arms around his neck. He lifts me up, and turns around in a circle. I giggle and wait for him to put me down.
"Hello gorgeous." He quickly kisses my cheek and puts me back on my feet. He grabs my things and begins to walk, i follow right behind him, but a hand grabs mine, and im pulled back.
"Since when?!" Ginny exclaims, her brown eyes wide in surprise. "You said you didnt like him!" I giggle and she grins.
"I was confused." I admit. "And since christmas." My cheeks heat up, as she giggles like a schoolgirl.
"I knew it! Bill owes me money!" I gasp, making Hermione laugh. Those boys were always betting. Was it a guy thing to do? I mentally shake my head as i remember the first bet Draco and I did about the times Slytherin and Gryffindor were playing for the cup. The frown on his face the night he paid me was one to always remember.
"Looks like we're gonna end up sisters after all." She says winking at me. I raise an eyebrow at her, confused.
"You're serious about Ron?" I ask her, trying to act like i wasn't so happy with her final choice.
"I am. I love him, i just hope he feels the same way about me." Ginny hugs her from the side and laughs.
"He adores you. Now come on, future Weasley women.. We have a girls night to begin." She grabs my hand and Hermione's as she begins to walk towards her house. We walk by past the boys, straight into the room where us girls were going to sleep. Hermione had gotten hold of some muggle movies, Ginny some sweets and i bought.. nothing. I was not prepared for this to happen, but who am i to not join? It got my mind off of things for a while.
"Okay, so please don't laugh at me, but i brought my muggle princess movies." Hermione says, smiling. I raise an eyebrow and tilt my head sideways. "You'll like them. There's just a bit of singing." Me and Ginny nod, and she puts on the movie on the television they had gotten from Harry and Ron's room. The movie was about a princess, a mermaid to be exact. I laugh at the muggle idea of mermaids. If only they knew what they really liked. Sure they had nice hair, but they did not look that pretty... at least i don't think they do. Her father was a sea God. Why do muggles like to believe these things... but then again, they most likely think magic isn't real. Ginny passes me the snacks right when the mermaid princess, whose name was Ariel, signed some messed up contract.
"She lost her voice, for legs."I whisper, not believing what i was just seeing. Hermione nods, and Ginny shakes her head.
"Pathetic. All for a land guy." I nod in agreement, but my eyes never left the screen. As the film came to finish, we all sat quiet, the tape rewinding itself, the television playing the film backwards rapidly. I look at my hands, and clean the dirt from under my nails. There was a knock on the door, and Ginny opens it, not even standing up. The perks of magic.
