*Bang!*

I squeezed my eyes shut as the book slammed onto the table. The sound rung loudly in my ear, causing me to slightly jump up from my chair, giving a small yelp. I don't know if anyone noticed or heard me but felt my cheeks go red, it felt really obvious.

"JEREMY LEWIS!" Mrs Miller fumed, hands on her hips.

"Zzz..." Jeremy snored softly. Aww...that was cute...

KRISTINE MORGAN! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!

I softly cursed at myself, careful not to let Mrs Miller hear me. Mrs Miller picked up her book again. I bet she was going to drop it one more time. At that moment, I didn't know what I was doing when I kicked his leg from under the desk, not visible to the teacher. "OW!" Jeremy jerked up just as Mrs Miller let go of her poor book.

*Bang!*

"What do you think you are doing, Jeremy Lewis?! Sleeping in my class! Unacceptable! Detention! Meet me after school at my locker!" She picked up her book and walked back to the front, only to continue writing on the board as if nothing happened. I heaved a sigh of relieve. Oh my gawd. I think I'm going crazy! 1) I said Jeremy Lewis was cute, 2) I felt bad for him and painfully woke him up and 3) I felt relieved for him after Mrs Miller left. I pressed my lips into a thin line.

"Hey baby girl, were you the one that kicked me?" I heard him whisper to me. Oh...not again! I unwilling tore a piece of paper out of my notebook and scribbled some words.

Yes I did you bitch if you sleep in class again I won't even bother laying a finger on you, much less kick you.

I folded the note threw the paper backwards. I wonder if it reached him? Did he see it? I'm not a sporty person and I've never been able to throw a ball properly without missing. All I can do now is hope that I didn't miss. "Aww...baby girl, I'm glad that you helped me just now. Maybe I should sleep more in class." He whispered. He got the note for sure.

Mrs Miller didn't even bother that we didn't greet her before she left the class. She was a teacher that cared a lot about manners. This is just, unusual. I sighed as I packed up my notebook where I copied almost everything she wrote on the board. Taking out my sketchbook at the same time, I brainstormed again. Who to draw this time? I doubt I have much time to draw before Mrs Helms comes. "Hey baby girl! I didn't know you curse." He's here again. Just then, I thought of my mum. I have more than dozen sketches of my mum already but, who else can I draw? It's a great timing anyway, I can use this as an excuse to ignore him. I smiled as I picked up my pencil and started sketching.

I saw him shoo the student in front of me away from the corner of my eyes. Rude as usual. He sat down facing me, not bothering to turn the chair around. Resting his elbows on my table, he observed me draw. I gulped. I can feel the jealous stares of the girls in the class piercing through my skin. Oh please, just go away Jeremy! I don't want to be on everyone's bad side! They'll get the wrong idea just looking at us! "You haven't answer me."

I ignored him again, trying my best to concentrate. I'm getting the jitters and my hands are shaking. I'm going to disfigure my mum's face if he continues. "Since when do you little girl curse?" My hand went astray and a long crooked line went across my mum's face. Good job hands.

I glared at him. This is it! "Since you were born you asshole! Can you please stop disturbing and annoying me?! Please? I'm begging you!" I pleaded him. I hope I'm not too loud. He gave me a look.

"I see...fine I shall stop disturbing you," he stood up, "for now." He added when he was beside me. I could feel the smirk growing on his face as he sat down. That creep! Suddenly, the class stood up. Mrs Helms has entered. We greeted her before I quickly kept my sketchbook and took out my Science notes. I didn't even get to complete the drawing.

*Ringggggggg*

"YEAHHHH!" The class cheered. End of school bell was the best, especially Fridays since we end an hour earlier than usual. We greeted the teacher before packing our bags to leave. I then remembered. Jeremy had to meet Mrs Miller for detention. I have no idea what detention is like because I'm a good student. Not complimenting myself but it's true. I reach school on time, I hand it all my assignments and I follow instructions. I slung my bag across my shoulders and piicked up the remaining books that can't fit into my bag.

"Baby girl! Aren't you waiting for me?" He asked when I turned around. Shocked by his sudden appearance and comment, I squealed and tripped over my own leg. My arms leaned against his chest for support and luckily, I didn't fall. However, I was touching him! And I'm touching his chest. I bet he has abs. It's...hard! He smirked and took my arms. He leaned in and whispered into my ear, "Like what you're touching?" All my blood rushed up to my face. I quickly shook his hands off my arms and removed my hands from his chest. I turned around and tripped over the table leg. Why? Because he trapped my between him and the table. He grabbed my arm just in time before I hit the table. He pulled me up and for a moment, I was glad he 'saved' me.

"Go away..." I hissed at him. Trying my best to ignore the angry glances of the other girls, I rushed out of the classroom and managed to make my way to the side gate in peace. I heaved a sigh of relieve. I flashbacked to what happened just now. I touched his chest. He touched my arm. He sort of saved me even though it was mostly his fault that I tripped.

I took a longer time to reach home than expected, mostly because I was walking really slowly with many thoughts on my mind.

Jeremy's point of view.

Detention. Not my first time. Making sure I had my 'detention cheat pack' with me, I walked to the staff room where the art teacher, Mrs Miller's (according to some people) locker was located. Didn't know you could get detention in art lessons. I sat on the bench outside and waited. "You'll be writing lines today." Mrs Miller came out of the staff room with a piece of black paper. I grinned. I wonder how many times I have done writing lines for detention.

She placed the paper on the table, "Write 50 lines of 'I will not sleep in class again'." That's just plain simple.

"I'll be in the staff room, call me when you're done." She turned and left. She just made it easier. I took my 'detention cheat pack' (practically my pencil case with some extra stuff) and removed 5 identical pens. Using tape, I aligned the pens and taped them together. When I was done, I started writing.

I will not sleep in class again.
I will not sleep in class again.
I will not sleep in class again.
I will not sleep in class again.
I will not sleep in class again.

There. 5 lines done at once in less than a minute! I repeated it another 9 more times and soon, I was done. I kept my pens into my bag and knocked on the staff room door. Mrs Miller opened the door and I passed the paper to her. Her suspicious look tells me that she thought I used some trick to write it since I only took about 1 minute. "I wrote it all myself." I quickly said before she could make a remark. With that, I left. That was the most boring detention ever. I wonder what kind of detentions teachers give here in 'Caramon High'.
