"Fuck," Jeremy mumbled, scooting away from me. I watched as Emilia's expression change from happy and excited to angry and confused.
"YOU!" She pointed an accusing finger at me. Damn. She remembers me from that day.
"It's not what you think it is, babe," Jeremy quickly say before she could say another word.
"Oh is it? Then how to you explain hugging her?" She sneered. I opened my mouth to say something but Jeremy beat me to that.
"She's my classmate. I told you that before back at the park. She just broke up with her boyfriend and she's feeling really upset. I was just comforting her. That's all."
What in the actual fuck? Of all lies he had to say I broke up with Jax? Can't he just say like my boyfriend's dad got into an accident which is true.
Her eyes narrowed into thin slits but it quickly returned to normal. "Oh I'm so sorry about your break up," She said in a fake tone. Disgusting bitch. She walked towards the bed where Jeremy was seated and wrapped her arms around his neck possessively.
"But who are you to him to make him hug you?" She spat.
"I am his best friend. That's who I am," I confidently told her. Jeremy raised his eyebrow, probably recalling the time I told him Jax is my best friend, not him.
"Best friend? I thought Axel and Jax were your best friends?" Emilia directed the question to Jeremy.
"They are, Em. Kristine is one of my best friends too," Jeremy played along. Thank the gawds.
Emilia's eyes narrowed into thin slits again and the 3 if us were silent. "Erm...what are you doing here today babe?" Jeremy finally said something.
Emilia looked away from me and unwrapped her arms from Jeremy. She climbed onto the bed and straddled Jeremy's waists, wrapping her arms around his neck once again. Oh gawd no. Must she do that when I'm here? She's seriously a bitch. "Can't I come over to my boyfriend's house without telling him? I missed you babe," She gave him a smile which looked so freaking fake. Ew. Jeremy forced a smile on his face and lightly pushed her off his lap. Great job bro! A scowl was attached to Emilia's face as Jeremy got off the bed.
"Look at the time! It's getting late. Why not I fetch Kristine home now?" He scratched the back of his neck. So now you're chasing me away. Good going.
"Oh babe, I'm sure Kristine is capable of going home herself, am I right?" Emilia plastered a fake smile onto her face again. Oh I see, you're jealous. Don't worry Clarkson, Jeremy is all yours and I want no part of him so stop being such a bitch.
"I don't think that's a good idea. She doesn't have a car and she lives quite far away so I think it's best I fetch her home. Come on Kristine," Jeremy motioned me to go and I quickly packed all my things before rushing out off the room. I never want to be in the same room as her again.
"I'll be back in 10," I heard Jeremy tell Emilia as I slowly walked down the stairs.
I slipped into my converse and waited for Jeremy to come down. "Lets go," He told me as he slipped into his own converse and put on his grey beanie. I nodded and he opened the gates, allowing me to exit first. We walked in silence and I thought about why Jeremy lied saying that I stayed far away although it's just opposite his house.
"Hey Jeremy?"
"Mhm?"
"Why did you lie to her?"
"Cause I...wanted to make sure Jax is ok. Want to go to the hospital?"
I looked up at him weirdly. Is that an excuse? "Shouldn't you be spending more time with you girlfriend? Plus, the hospital is more that 10 minutes away." I can imagine Emilia hitting the roof if she finds out Jeremy lied to her. I mean, aren't all girls like this? Except me.
