Don't Say Goodbye

Nate POV
6 Months Later
Drew and I have been planning to adopt a child. It's something that we both want. Things have been going great with Drew and I. I really have never been this happy. It's crazy how I was so willing to give up on love but found it.

JoJo POV
I've been just being a hoe since the break up with Joe. It really puts me in a stress less place. I mean there are dudes who wanted to be with me. But I don't want to be hurt again.

Lee POV
Since Hendrix death I haven't been to quick to date someone. But King has been there for me everyday.

He said " I'll wait years if I have to but I know your the person I will spend the rest of my life with."

I really don't want to get into another relationship because I don't want anything bad to happen. I've been hurt and I'm tried if crying my eyes out. But I also want to be loved again and I know King has the best intention.

Nate POV
I am planning to hang with my brothers and Joyce today. I haven't really been able to because I was either at school or with Drew. I really didn't want them thinking I left them for a man because that would never be true. I pull up at the Lee house. We all moved into our own house but JoJo's and Lee's house are down the street from each other. I see everybody is here so I just use my key and walk in.

Everybody said " Hey Stranger"

Jay came running over to me giving me a hug. I hug him so tightly because I miss this little boy.

He said " Nanie where you been? I been missing you. You don't love me no more."
I said " I'm sorry Jay. And I will always love you. Don't ever think other wise."
He said " Okay Nanie I love you."
I said " I love you too."

I looked up at Lee and his eyes are wide. I also see somebody who looks really familiar.

Lee said " You remember King from middle school."
I said " The King who was deeply in love with you. The one who was half nerd, half thug. Yeah what about him?"
Lee said " He right here"
I said " I knew he looked familiar and time has blessed him."
King said " Thank you."

Here goes JoJo with his dramatic ass.

He said " Ohh so I don't get no Hi or Hello brother. You just don't see me sitting over here. I guess you don't love me no more. Jodie don't love me no more y'all. He don't love me."

Everybody started laughing because he is a straight fool. I walked over to him and gave him a hug.

I said " Hello brother. How you been?"
He said " Good just been living."
Lee and Joyce whispered " Yeah the hoe life."
JoJo said " You know I heard y'all."

We all started laughing again.

I said" Well are y'all ready to go."
Lee said " Yeah we just got to drop Jay off at his friend house."
I said " Is King coming with us?"
Lee said " No he has to go to work."

Lee POV
I was really glad that we're getting the chance to hang out with each other today. I've really been needing this time with the people I love. We decided to go to the outlet mall , going out to eat, and then go to Playhouse Square. I had got a text from King he was asking could he come over later. I just told him he could. We stayed at the mall for a couple hours and then we went to eat. I was glad because I was dying and needed food to save me. We were sat in a booth in the back of the restaurant. We just started having conversations.

I asked Nate" How the adoption process going?"
He said " It's going well we are supposed to hear something today about the child we're trying to adopt. I hope it's good news."
I said " Yeah me too."

His phone started ringing and he said " Speak of the people they are calling right now."

He answered the phone and instantly got happy. He got off the phone and almost knocked everything on the table over because he was so happy.

He said " We got the triplets."

We all were shocked when he said triplets.
I said " How old are they?"
He said " There the same age as Jay. I wanted to get them young but not baby young. I'm so excited and thankful to god."
I said " Shit I'm happy for you. You are officially a parent."

We ordered our food and just talked the night away. We got ready and left out the restaurant. There was a group of young boys. Mainly black but there was some white kids standing outside. They were arguing about something and it look like it was getting out of hand. They started fighting and guns where drawn out. All you heard was gunshots everywhere. Next thing you know I hear the police pull up. Things started getting blurry and all I heard was shouting. Everything went black

JoJo POV
Everything started happening so fast. All you heard were shots and people arguing. I seen that Nate got shot then Joyce and Lee. That when the cops pulled up and everybody scattered like roaches. I started praying that they don't die. I don't need that right now. I pray and cry because I see Joyce ain't breathing. I go over to her and try to do CPR but it wasn't working. I didn't know what to do. I just cried and prayed.

10 Minutes Later
The ambulance pulled up and they immediately got everybody in the trucks. I got in the ambulance with Nate. I started calling everybody to pray and come to the hospital. I try to keep it together but I couldn't. We got to the hospital and rush into the emergency room. I go to the lady at the desk to register all of them. I got them all registered but found out Joyce was gone. She was pronounced dead on arrival. I just broke down and hope for the best for the other two.
