It was a bit chilly out because it had snowed over night. what the hell is with this weather? I threw on a pair of grey sweatpants, a black t-shirt and a grey zip up hoodie. I still had no idea why Aubrey acted the way she did and I had a feeling she was avoiding me. I decided to get a drink, while I thought things out. and went downstairs. I stopped at the doorway of the kitchen, when I heard Aubrey talking.

"Kels what am I supposed to do? He can't get involved in my life like that and he's just going to keep wanting to know more. Its dangerous for him and for me. I can't just tell him that it's safer he doesn't know, he won't drop it." there was a long pause before she spoke again. "I don't love him, at least not yet anyways. I can let myself get that far into things though." Another pause. "Yeah I know Kels. He said he saw the word smoke from our texts. He's smart he will figure it out sooner or later. Between the text from J, our text and Eric catching you guys in Detroit, this weekend seems to be bringing an end to our relationship, the more he knows, the less safe he'll be. I just can't do that to him." What the hell? Is she planning on dumping me? And why does knowing more about her put me in danger? She's right, I refuse to let this go, I need to find out why she is going to dump me and how to stop her. I really like her, I don't want this to end. I wouldn't hit my knees and beg "pretty please," of my stuck up brother for just any girl.

"I don't know Kels, we'll talk later. Hopefully I can figure something out before things get too serious between us. Hopefully a way that won't hurt him too bad." She paused for a response. "Alright I'll talk to you later, bye." she said. I heard her set her phone down, then counted to 13 before walking in, so it didn't seem suspicious.

"Hey babe." I said, walking into the kitchen. She stiffened.

"Hey you." She said awkwardly. I blew it off and kissed her on the cheek.

"so what do you want to do today." I asked. She visibly relaxed, but I pretended not to notice.

"I don't know, I'm not even dressed yet." she said, looking down at her clothes. I grinned.

"And yet you are still the most beautiful girl in the world." she smiled and her cheeks turned pink.

"Thank you baby." I smiled and kissed her on the cheek.

"I wish you saw it to, but then I wouldn't get to tell you how beautiful you are all the time." I said with a wink. I grabbed her hand and lead her out of the kitchen. "So how about we stay inside and have a movie marathon?" I suggested, walking up the stairs with her hand still in mine.

"Okay sounds like fun." We stopped in front of the bedroom door and I turned to face her.

"Okay so change into something comfy and I'll get the movies set up in the basement."

"Awesome. I'll meet you down there then." She said and disappeared into the bedroom. I headed downstairs and set up the dvd player. I laid out an assortment of movies and headed to the bar to get a two cokes and some snacks. She came downstairs just as I was setting the snacks on the couch.

"There's a pool table?" she asked like a little kid being offered candy, wait that didn't sound right. "Can we play?" She grinned. I smiled back.

"Of course we can buttercup." I started to set up the game and noticed her glance at the mini bar?

"I have to ask, are you a lightweight or a heavy weight?" I looked at her and grinned

"I can handle my alcohol pretty well."

"Me too." she said and it was quickly written all over her face that she didn't mean to say that.

"Wha-?" I started.
