Five months pregnant, feeling overwhelmed, and worn out from job hunting, I came in the door and dropped my bags on the floor, shooting Miles a pleading look. He smile sympathetically.

"Rough day baby?" I nodded, I didn't trust myself to speak, I was tired of these damn hormones and feeling like such a baby all the time. I didn't think much about Miles being in my apartment, since he seems to live here these days, which I don't mind.

"Come on love." He grabbed my hand and lead me into the bedroom, then made me sit on the edge of the bed. He disappeared in the bathroom for a few moments before returning then he bent down and pulled my socks and shoes off, then he climbed on the bed behind me, pulled my jacket and my vest off, then started to unbutton my plaid top.

"Miles.." I said reluctantly.

"Shh baby." He whispered.  After he had my plaid top off, he slid my black camisole off over my head and pulled my messy bun out and gently draped my hair over my shoulders. Then he began to gently message my shoulders and I let my head fall back. Once I opened my eyes they met his sparkly eyes.

"Have I ever told you how much I love your eyes?" He whispered. I smiled.

"I was just thinking the same thing." I whispered back. He smiled and pressed his lips to mine. After the kiss I picked my head back up and he stood up off the bed, then grabbed my hands and pulled me up. He took my belt off and then undid my jeans. He then kneeled to the ground and kissed my ever growing belly.

"Stop giving mommy so much trouble you two." He whispered, then kissed my belly in two different places. He stood up and I grabbed his hand, placing it on my belly where I had felt one of them kick. They kicked again and his face lit up. I kissed him on the cheek and he grabbed my hand. He lead me into the bathroom where he had a bath already running for me. I smiled and he shut the door behind me.

"I don't deserve you." I whispered. He smiled.

"Oh hush you and get naked." I raised an eyebrow at him and he chuckled. "Then get in the bath tub."

"Okay but I'm not fucking you." I teased and he smiled.

"I wasn't expecting you to." The first trimester of the pregnancy I was fairly average as far as how often I was turned on, this trimester I was so turned off it make me sick to even think about sex. He turned around and I stripped down, then slipped into the tub. He dimmed the lights and turned around with a cup of coffee in his hand. I chuckled knowing that it would have been wine, had I not been pregnant. I took it and sipped it carefully, wondering when he made it. It wasn't until later that I remembered that I had my coffee maker in the bathrooms, since I'm not exactly a morning person. He lit the candles that I keep on the edge of the bathtub, mainly for decoration, but occasionally I do light them. He sat on the floor behind me and continued to rub my neck and shoulders.

"Damn I knew there was a reason I love you." I teased and he chuckled softly. He seemed off tonight, maybe work was getting to him or something, I couldn't quite put my finger on it. "Are you okay baby?" He hesitated for such a short time that I barely noticed it.

"Yeah I'm fine baby, why?"

"You just seem a bit tense is all."

"Are you kidding? For the last six months I've been nothing but tense. I don't know if I have what it takes to be a father." I smiled.

"The third trimester is soon."

"What?"

"That's why you're so tense isn't it? Because the third trimester starts in a month."

"Yeah, three trimesters in and I get more nervous by the second, I'm going to shit my pants the night the twins are actually born." I chuckled.

"I think you'll be a good daddy." He smiled.

"Thank you baby. I'm going to go get you some clothes, you enjoy your bath." He kissed me on the cheek and left the bathroom. I sunk lower into the water and laid my head against the tub, closing my eyes. He came back a few minutes later with a pile of clothes in his hands. I smiled at him.

"Are you ready to get out?" He asked. I nodded. He grabbed my hand and helped me out of the tub, then I wrapped a towel around myself while he pulled the plug on the tub. He let me hold onto him as I got dressed, then he brushed out my hair for me. We had dinner plans with my parents tonight so he gave me a black dress that was long sleeves but from the armpits up, including the sleeves, are lace. I smiled and slipped on my black flats with little bows on the top. My hair was the most normal it has been in a while, I wanted a change, from the typical funky colors, maybe for now, maybe forever. Miles had been shocked to discover that my natural hair color is a white blond, especially since my eyebrows are a really light brown, but the middle layer of my hair is dyed black to create a cool contrast. I braided my hair over my shoulder and fixed my bangs with my hand. I put on light make up, foundation, cover up, light eye liner, brown eye shadow and a light pink blush. I quickly brushed my teeth then applied a light pink lipstick. Miles smiled at me.

"You look gorgeous."  Miles had on a mint green dress shirt, my favorite shirt of his, it brings out the green in his eyes, a white blazer, and dark jeans. I looked over his outfit and pursed my lips together.

"Wear a black blazer, too many colors." He smiled.

"I was just going to ask you that." He disappeared through the door and I did a once over in the mirror before following him out. I put my phone, wallet and keys in my black square purse it was small and had a silver chain for the strap. Then I began to wonder where miles was. I didn't see him in the bedroom so I started to look through the apartment, I found him in the living room, looking out the sliding glass door that leads to the balcony. The curtains where drawn out across the window, except for where he was standing.

"Wow this view is amazing, come look." I had seen the view, it was pretty cool at night, since you got to see the entire downtown area, but I went over and looked anyways, we had some time to kill before we had to leave. He stepped back to let me look, but what I found was not the typical scenery that I was used to. My balcony was covered in red rose petals piled over the entire thing, not a centimeter of cement in sight, well except for the cement that acted as a guard rail. On top of the rose petals where candles arranged perfectly to create a shape, shining bright and proud in the dark summer night. The candles spelled out 'Will you Marry me?' I turned around to find Miles down on one knee, shaking, with a ring box in his hand. My breath caught in my throat, my hands flew over open mouth and tears started to form in my eyes.

"Aubrey Cameo Davis, you are the most amazing woman I have ever met. Will you make me the luckiest man alive and allow me to make you the new Mrs. Grayson?"

"What?" I whispered, it was the only thing that managed to make it out of my mouth. He smiled.

"Aubrey will you marry me?"
