Chapter Twenty-Three

*Aubreys POV*

I sighed and climbed put of bed. I am super nervous for today, but I have been working so hard, trying to finish unpacking the house and get it set up for Jax's arrival, that I was lacking the energy to be excited. I quickly showered, wrapped a towel around my body and brushed my hair out. I had dyed it red last night and cut layers into it. It was looking a little more scene than I had intended, but I still liked it. It was a bit shorter and the trim made it look a lot healthier, not that dying it every chance I get helps. My green eyes sparkled with excitement and drooped with exhaustion as I coated my face in make up.The bruises had mostly healed and I had given into Miles requests to go see a doctor about my nose, which is broken. I piled make up onto my sore skin, to cover up the bruises, today was about Jax and I didn't need him worrying about me. Putting on make up hurt a little, especially the eyeliner pencil, but it was no where near as bad as it was. The swelling had also gone down on my stomach, so it was just a nasty bruise.

I went and put on the outfit I picked out yesterday on. It consisted of black converse sneakers, a camoflauge mini skirt, a form fitting camo hoodie, and a white tank top that said 'some heroes wear capes, my hero wears combat boots' in dark green letters. I threw my hair up in a ponytail. The outfit was a bit girly, but I liked it. I grabbed my leather jacket, threw it on, grabbed my backpack and purse and went to my locker. I had missed a lot of school this week, I needed to catch up on my work and I knew Miles would have my ass if I missed another day of school. I was ready at six thirty, so I decided to go a little early and talk to Miles. The traffic is quite a bit clearer at six thirty in the morning, so I made it to school at seven fifteen. I quickly went in and dropped my things off at my locker, then went to Miles room. I leaned against the doorframe and tapped my knuckles on the open door. He looked up and smiled.

"Hey you." He said getting up and walking towards me so I met him halfway. "I was afraid you wouldn't come today." He said before pressing his lips to mine. I grinned.

"I thought about it, but I wanted to see you."

"So what are we doing tonight?"

"You met two of my brothers, I thought you'd like to meet another one."

"Another one? I thought you didn't like your other brother." I bit my lip and sighed.

"Not that brother. This one I didn't tell you about, but you kind of already know him."

"You have another brother?"

"Yeah. I don't like talking about him."

"Why not?"

"Because he's gay and in the army, everyone tells me how disgusting he is or how sorry they are that I have to go through it or this and that and I'm just tired of hearing it." He smiled.

"Well I am glad you told me then." He kissed me on the cheek and I smiled.

"So you want to come meet him? He's coming home."

"Sure, Id love to, why is he coming home?" I looked down.

"I'm not really sure, he said he was injured, but didn't really give me any details, my brother doesn't like attention or people feeling sorry for him."

"Sounds like a certain litle eighteen year old I know."He teased, poking me in the stomach. I giggled.

"Well he is my twin brother."

"You have a twin?" I nodded.

"Yeah his name is Jax."

"Jax as in Jax Davis?"

"That would be him."

"I miss him, he was a good student, I wondered what happened to him."

"You knew his last name is Davis but you didn't think he was my brother?" I asked , amused.
