The horse didn't reply. Scarlet had already wasted enough time, so she hurried back to the farm. Just in the nick-of-time too, she rushed into her bed and pretended to be fast asleep. Great Aunt Anne slowly opened her bedroom door, "Scarlet..." she whispered "time to get up." then she left, with the door creaking shut behind her.
Scarlet sighed of relief, "That was close." she said to herself. After that, Scarlet sounded like an elephant as she trampled down the stairs and into the kitchen. She sniffed, I smell something... she smelled some more "Orange-zest muffins!" she exclaimed. Scarlet's mother had always attempted to make these tasty treats, but no one could make better ones than her great aunt.
"Thanks Aunt Anne," Scarlet beamed at the plate and was about to dig in when "Actually, Ed made them." Anne replied. Scarlet stared at Anne as if she grew another head, "Really?" she nodded "Are they safe to eat?" she joked. Ed grunted. "Just kidding! Just kidding! Thank you Uncle Ed!" he mumbled a "your welcome," but Scarlet didn't hear because she was buried in the delicious muffins.
Just then, Anne noticed the ring on Scarlet's middle finger, "Beautiful ring, Scarlet," Scarlet wiped her face with a napkin, "Thanks. I made it myself." she said staring at it. For some reason, she couldn't look away until her great aunt replied, "That... precious stone, Scarlet... it looks... familiar," she continued with a suspicious look across her face, as if she knew where Scarlet had got it. But how?
Scarlet gobbled up the rest of her breakfast and went back to the horse stables to see Nightshade. "Come on, girl." she commanded, gently. The horse whinnied, "I'm trying to sleep, here!" Scarlet looked around, "Was that you, Nightshade?" Am I dreaming? She sat down, "A-Am I hearing things?" But I could have sworn I heard it!
Scarlet took a deep breath, got up, and saddled her horse. "Let's go then," she stated. "No way!" Nightshade disagreed. Scarlet tried to calm the horse down, she looked at her ring; it was glowing. She was in utter amazement. She knew her Aunt Anne had something or knew something that had to do with this. So she decided to head back to her room to do research.

"Ugh! No service!" Scarlet threw her phone on to her bed. "At least we got wifi." she pulled out a laptop and Google popped up. She didn't know what to type, but after hours of searching, she found it. "The White Pearl of Tennessee." it said "...can be found on farmland...precious stone..." those words stood out to her " ...worth billions!... 1 of 3 precious stones... One jewel has been found at sea, where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans meet... Another is believed to be located in the city.... If you, or a loved one, have found or have any information on the Precious Stone contact the number below immediately..."
I have to call... she reached for her phone, but noticed something underneath the bed. She crouched down and picked up a crumpled piece of paper. Scarlet unfolded it, there was an address written in small letters. She flipped it over... "RUBY F." it said.
