Scarlet woke up in a heap of pain. Her entire body was just numb. But she didn't remember anything; she'd been... brainwashed.
She forced her eyes open and glanced up at Dale. To her, he wasn't a threat, because she didn't have any idea what was going on around her.
Scarlet was dizzy and had a big migraine. She was still sitting on the chair. She groaned, "Ugh... what happened?" she asked softly. Dale held out his hand and she took it as he helped her up to her feet.
"You just passed out," he replied "Are you feeling okay, Sophie?" She nodded unassuredly, "Y-Yeah." Dale was planting false information into her brain, almost to sort of, recreate her life... and her being.
"Where am I?" She questioned "And who are you?" Dale smirked, almost sinister-like, "I'm Dale," he went in next to her ear and whispered, "And I am your master." She almost felt like she was floating, with no knowledge of her life or role in the world prior to that moment. And she believed him.
"Sophie" let out a long breath of air as Dale shooed the men out of the room. "That's what you call me. Do you understand?" She bopped her head slowly, "Yes." The evil grin returned, "And do you know what slaves do?" She shook her head naively "Don't worry... you'll find out."

"Ugh! What are we going to do?!" Lucas exclaimed. Ed, Anne, and Lucas were all tied up in some room, unknowingly being in the same building as Scarlet and the men.
Anne had been crying while Ed only stayed silent. "Sir?" He asked "Miss?... What are-" "Shut up! I'm thinking!" Ed interrupted "I knew we never should have gotten involved with all this gem junk." He muttered. Anne sniffled, "I'm so sorry, Ed. I-I should've listened to you." They would've held hands, but they couldn't move a muscle.
"So... is this it?" Lucas asked. It was a rhetorical question, but Ed answered it anyway, "Ugh... young people..." Lucas whipped his head up, "What about it?" Ed rolled his eyes, "You're too eager to give up without even trying."
Just then, Ed got free of the ropes. "What the?!-" Lucas says "How'd you do that?!" Ed chuckled, "I never leave home without it." he holds up his pocket knife before cutting loose Anne and Lucas's ropes. "Now what?" asked Anne. "Now, we go find Scarlet," Lucas shrugged, "Then what?" Ed began walking towards the door, "Then," he snickered "We figure it out from there."
A.N/ Yes, I know, I'm still a day behind, but I'm going to catch up this weekend and I have fall break coming up so I'll update all my books as much as possible and maybe even go over previous chapters and sort of, update them. What do you OITs think? Please comment and vote!!! 😁
