Nadine closed her robe and tied it tightly. She was nervous but also excited. It wasn't like she was about to do something new. She and James have done this before but it has always been spontaneous, nothing they really planned for.

This...this was planned down to the tiniest detail. It was a good thing James had an endorsement shoot today, that put him out of her hair at least. But it was tricky trying to get him to cooperate with her plans when he didn't know something was up. She picked up her phone and texted Tom.

ETA?

He replied immediately.

Shoot done in 10 mins but James wants to drop by Tipsy. Sam is there.

Nadine groaned in frustration.

He can't! You have to get him up here to QC. Tell him you're going gaming here with Mike!

In QC? Won't buy it.

Nadine sighed. She hated how hard it was to surprise James. If just a little something deviated from the norm, he could sense something is up. Even though they were now in the process of moving their things into the new house, hanging out in QC was still not the group's norm. Nadine really wished she had Lauren running James interference but she had a shoot of her own today.

She had to try her luck. Nadine called James and he answered on the fourth ring.

"Hello," he answered, slightly out of breath.

"Sorry, Love. Did I disturb you?"

"Nah, we just finished the shoot right now. You have good timing. What's up?"

"Love, favor naman...remember the box of shoes I packed the other day? Can you bring it to the new house?"

"Kay, I'll tell Dad to bring it when he goes."

"Um Love, sana ngayon na? I really need it?"

"Naddie, I'm in Makati. You want me to drive all the way to QC tonight just to bring shoes? You have hundreds!"

"Hundreds ka diyan. Sige na James...I'll meet you there, ha?"

"Seriously?" He grumbled.

"Sige na...please, Love? Please?"

He sighed. "What time will you be there?"

Nadine grinned triumphantly. "Thirty minutes," She lied.

"Be there in 2 hours if traffic doesn't kill me."

"Love you!"

"These shoes better be Loubotins or something."

Nadine held back her laughter because of course her boyfriend knew the shoe designers. And no, he wasn't gay.

She put down the phone and started rearranging again, her OC-ness taking over. James' third floor "man cave" was perfect for what she wanted to do. It was the only part of the house that wasn't finished yet, as James wanted to convert part of the floor into a studio. He also wanted to give her a corner of the room as a space where she could draw and paint, which was the sweetest thing ever. He was making room in his space just for her. She'd be lying if she said she didn't die of kilig when he told her. So the entire floor lay untouched and unfurnished still.
