Chapter 16: It's just... There
Okay, I'm pretty sure we weren't imagining it.
But even though we think so, I think we need to confirm that.
Hold on, I sound a bit like I'm using this as an excuse to-
Jumin stopped pacing back and forth in his office and sighed.
There's... there's really no other way to confirm this sort of a thing other than going back there and kissing him again.
The businessman stood there silently for a while, before he grabbed his bag - and the letter Seven had given him - and left the office.
It's just about twelve anyway. Eleven forty-five... I hope he doesn't mind me arriving early.
Jumin sighed once again, frustrated over the matter.
The fact is: I don't want him to think I sweet-talked him there. There really was the sweet taste of pancakes.
He turned around the corner and arrived at the café, hastily walking in the direction of the shop.
"Seven."
As soon as the words left his mouth, a familiar redhead looked up from his seat.
"You're fifteen minutes early."
Jumin sat down opposite the shorter boy.
"I know."
He adjusted his clothes and tie, before resuming to gaze at the boy in front of him.
I... don't know what to say...
They stared at each other in silence, and once in a while, Seven would take a sip from his glass of cold ice-lemon tea.
"Actually..."
Jumin spoke up, and the redhead in front of him blinked.
"... there's something I want to do before we order lunch."
He looked up uneasily at Seven, and the latter's face flushed pink.
Ah, he probably guessed it.
"Come a bit closer..."
Jumin whispered, almost inaudible, when he found that nobody else was looking at them.
Seven hesitantly leaned closer to the taller boy, his eyes already squeezed shut.
Jumin chuckled.
Even when he's like this, he's still sort of adorable, somehow.
Oh, that's a new thought.
Well, anyway...
He leaned in slowly, closing the distance between their lips, before - this time - giving the redhead's bottom lip a small lick.
Jumin noticed Seven's face turn red that instant.
Yup. Wasn't imagining it.
The taller boy broke from the kiss, cheeks slightly pink as well.
"I wasn't imagining it. It really does taste like pancakes, Seven."
The redhead in front of him averted his eyes.
"And your's still tastes like strawberries..."
He hid his face behind his hand in embarassment.
Jumin laughed softly.
"So there you have it. There's really no reason why our lips taste like something we didn't eat.
It's just... there, I guess."
He smiled, and Seven looked up at him slowly.
"... Nobody's told me before."
He muttered, leaning on his left arm, seeming a little confused.
Jumin blinked.
"Well, I guess that's because...
... Nobody kissed you before I did...?"
