Chapter 30: Handwriting

"I'm going to ask you a question."

Seven raised his voice slightly, eyes fixed on Jumin.

Silence.

The raven-haired man lifted an eyebrow.

"Go ahead...?"

He urged uncertainly.

Seven crossed his arms, not knowing where else to put them.

"How did you fall in love with me?"

He asked, turning pink when he saw the taller boy laugh softly.

Jumin blinked.

"Well, you have an adorable side. Even though you're an idiot sometimes, you can be pretty amazing."

He shrugged, pausing.

"You care about others more than yourself, and yet you're under-appreciated."

Jumin breathed, sighing after which.

"I fell in love with your letters.

Then, I fell in love with You."

He smiled, his head tilting to the side.

Seven's breath hitched.

"W-well, what's so special about my letters?"

He questioned.

Jumin shrugged.

"They're handwritten."

The man stated simply.

Seven didn't understand.

"Handwritten?"

He asked, furrowing his brows.

Jumin looked up at the redhead standing in front of his desk.

"Nowadays, everything is written in perfect format using devices or gadgets. You hardly recognize someone's message through their handwriting anymore. And that's because they don't get to write the message. They type it."

He sighed, taking up a pen to sign another one of the papers on his desk.

"It's so wasted. Handwriting is something a person develops through the years.

It's like how much they've been through."

The raven-haired man shook his head, taking a sip from his cup of coffee.

"You can tell what situation or state they're in when you read handwritten messages. For example, are there any tear stains on the paper? Spilled ink? Does the handwriting get more messy towards the end of the letter? Is the paper crushed? Has it been crushed before?

What exactly has been erased?

Are the erased words pure mistakes or the sender's true feelings?"

Jumin's eyes gleamed.

"Your's tells me that this letter has been the only thing you've been looking forward to doing for the whole day."

He gave the redhead a small smile, and the latter smiled back shyly but in understanding.

"Jumin, you read people really well. It's kind of impressive."

Seven laughed softly in admiration.

Jumin turned a little red in the face.

"Well, I'm still pretty dense, though. As are you."

He added, making the redhead in front of him pout.

"I'm not dense!"

Seven exclaimed in denial.

Jumin laughed.

Oh, you are.
