Chapter 39: Worth it
Jumin blinked a few times, his pupils adjusting to the glaring gaze of the sunset.
The redhead standing beside him laughed contentedly.
"I love your balcony."
Seven remarked, leaning on the wooden railing.
Jumin gave the shorter boy a smile.
"Do you like the view here?"
He asked, running his fingers through his lover's glossy, red hair.
"I love it."
The redhead replied, laughing softly as he enjoyed the taller boy's soothing touch.
Jumin caressed Seven's cheek lovingly, his gaze settling on the shorter boy's delicate plastic frames.
Leaning down, he lightly pecked the redhead's glasses, finding them rather suiting for his adorable lover.
"Hey, are you really taking me to the stars with you?"
Jumin asked, gently pushing up the shorter boy's frames.
Seven looked up at him and smiled, his eyes glistening.
"Well, I kind of like it down here on earth."
He shrugged, averting his gaze.
Jumin scoffed.
"Just say that you don't want me spending a fortune to make it a reality."
The raven-haired boy chuckled.
Seven shot his lover a glare.
"I'd rather we spend money on more things than a single trip, you know."
The redhead pouted, rolling his eyes.
"It would be nice to be able to marry in a space station, but I know it would cost billions."
He sighed.
Jumin blinked, eyeing his lover for a while.
Then he grinned and returned his gaze to the setting sun.
"We'll figure it out."
The raven-haired boy muttered, ideas already filling his head.
Seven raised an eyebrow.
"Figure it out?"
The redhead asked, taking a few deep breaths as the wind rushed through the scarlet strands of his hair.
"Mm."
Jumin replied simply, watching as the sunset-dyed clouds passed by, his gaze lingering on the skyscrapers draped in the sun's golden rays.
"You're not calling off the marriage idea, are you?"
Seven asked, narrowing his eyes.
The taller boy quickly turned his gaze toward his lover.
"Of course not! We're still getting married."
He huffed, his gaze now resting on the redhead instead of the sun.
But of course.
Jumin sighed.
This brings me back to the time when we sat in that small café, and the afternoon sunlight embraced him like a golden blanket.
He really looked like an angel.
Oh, so beautiful.
And with eyes that seemed to hold the world inside of them.
The raven-haired boy smiled, and his lover turned to him, tilting his head to the side.
"What is it?"
The redhead asked.
Pink dusted over Jumin's cheeks.
"Nothing."
He replied.
"It's just that you look like an angel."
The taller boy shrugged, chuckling at his lover's beauty as the golden rays outlined Seven's slim figure.
The shorter boy gasped, averting his gaze immediately as his cheeks turned red.
Jumin's breath hitched at the sight of the adorably embarassed boy, and he took a step forward to pull the shorter boy closer.
His hands rested on Seven's waist, and the redhead blinked in understanding.
The smaller boy leaned upwards slowly, standing on his toes a little as he pecked Jumin on the lips.
"I love you."
He muttered, resting his head on the taller boy's shoulder.
Jumin chuckled, leaning down to press his lips against Seven's once again.
"I love you, too."
He replied, blush coloring his cheeks as the smaller boy resumed to rest his head on his chest.
So this is love.
Jumin smiled, gently embracing his lover.
So this... is how blissful it is.
The raven-haired boy laughed, and Seven looked up at him quizzically.
"Hm?"
The redhead questioned softly, his eyes blinking in curiosity.
Jumin ruffled the shorter boy's hair affectionately.
"I was just thinking; We went through so much just to get to this peaceful state."
He began, his smile only widening as he went on.
"But it's all worth it."
The raven-haired boy finished, sighing contentedly as the sun began to disappear.
Seven looked up at his lover, smiling back.
I'm happy.
I'm really, really...
... Happy.
