Chapter 26: I know

"Do you want to...

... date?"

-

Seven's eyes widened.

D-date?

Date him?

Do I want to-

The redhead was nervous enough to already be stuttering in his head.

"S-sure."

He blinked a few times, his face flushed pink.

"I would love to, in fact."

The redhead coughed, flashing a tiny smile at Jumin, keen to hide his ridiculous happiness that could have him grinning like an idiot for hours.

Jumin smiled back at him, happy.

Genuinely happy.

The raven-haired businessman ran his fingers through his hair, somewhat unsure of what to say now.

"... Well, we'll be at my apartment today."

He shrugged, and Seven nodded.

"We can get to know each other better, even though that should have been done before dating."

The redhead suggested.

"In fact, that's a great idea. Why not?"

He looked back at Jumin, who blinked and smiled.

"Sure."

-

"-And we're home!"

Seven yawned, stretching his arms and legs in exhaustion as he lay on Jumin's couch.

The taller boy blinked, slightly amused.

"So this is your home now?"

He asked.

The redhead lying on the couch blushed.

"Well... not yet."

He muttered, averting his eyes.

Jumin flinched.

Yet, he said. And he's not wrong. This isn't his actual home until I ask him something along the lines of, Do you want to Marry?

The raven-haired man coughed, tugging off his tie.

And as he was doing so, Seven's phone rang.

Make us Free na splash kasaneta

Hikari no kontorasuto abite

Feel so free na kyou tobikoma

Oretachi no Brand New Blue, yeah-

"-Yes?"

The song ended abruptly as the redhead picked up the call.

"No, I'm at Jumin's house."

"Huh? What am I planning to do here?"

"Stay over, obviously."

"..."

"Dating?"

"Yeah."

"We're dating now."

Seven's face turned slightly red as he answered the question, looking over at Jumin only to nod.

"Look, I know-"

"Guh..."

"Yes, yes. I know."

"I know we're not supposed to have relationships."

He rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Look, I've been doing my work and going on missions just fine."

"Just keep it a secret."

"You don't understand."

"..."

"Yes, I know. I would usually not want to endanger the people I love, but-"

"Oh man, I don't know. I don't want to argue with you."

"Anyway, keep it a secret."

"Yes, yes."

"Au revoir..."

The redhead sighed, hanging up.

Definitely not meeting him later.

He can wait all he wants to at the café.

I'm not coming.

Seven huffed, stuffing the phone back into his pocket.

"Anyway."

He said, spinning around to face Jumin.

"Let's get to that get-to-know-each-other session, shall we?"

The redhead coughed, trying his best to change the topic.

Jumin nodded slowly, seeming a little concerned.

"Yeah."

He replied, going over to sit next to Seven on the couch.

The redhead smiled.

"Let's go in alternate order to ask each other a question. Simple, right?"

He asked, and Jumin nodded.

"Alright, then. I'll start."

Seven grinned, snapping his fingers.
