Does It Make a Sound?
"If a tree falls in the forest
And no one is around to hear it,
Does it make a sound?"
Does the soul of a guitar
Play a tune just by itself,
If there's no one
To caress its strings?
Or does it stay
Silent
Somewhere
Alone
In a corner,
Leaning against the wall,
Covered in the dust of
Forgotten melodies?
Does the soul of a poet
Live and breathe
If no one reads
Their words,
Their lonely poems
Long forgotten?
A poet's voice -
Does it make a sound
If no one is around to hear it?
Does it make a sound?
