Chapter 12: Worlds Collide

"Dani, wake up." I heard someone whisper next to me, before my body softly shook. My eyebrows knotted together before I tried to get back to the warm dream behind my eyelids. "Danniella." The stubborn voice called out again, but instead of being irritated a warm feeling circled in my veins. I felt a soft pressure on my cheek before it slid down my face and stroked my bottom lip. "Open your eyes, love." the warm voice whispered and my body responded to him before I could even make a decision.

My eyes fluttered open and Colton's burning silver eyes were the first thing I saw making me catch my breath. His face was mere inches from mine and want started to burn beneath my skin when I noticed his thumb was still against my bottom lip.

"Good morning beautiful." He whispered instantly making me smile up at him as my mind started to get foggy with only thoughts of him. Before I could respond his lips found mine and we were kissing like we hadn't seen each other in months, years even. My fingers laced through his hair as I tried to get closer to him. A purr emitted from my chest when his tongue slipped in my mouth and he followed my lead skimming his fingers across my skin instantly making it burn under his touch. He released my lips before placing butterfly kisses down my chin across my neck and scraping his teeth against my throat. I rolled my eyes back in pleasure trying to extend my neck further so he had more access to do whatever he wanted, but instead of going further he gently grabbed my chin and pulled it back down so he could look in my eyes. He gave me one hard kiss before pulling away with lust still burning in his striking silver eyes making me smile to myself like a giddy school girl.

"What was that for?" I questioned with the silly grin covering my face.

"We're almost there." He whispered against my lips. I gave him a small smile before sitting back in my seat. My previous confidence seemed utterly stupid as my stomach started to churn with nervousness. "Don't worry Dani, they will adore you simply on the fact that I love you until they see the other million reasons to love you on their own. I promise sweetheart." He whispered into my hair before kissing me on the cheek and sitting back into his own seat.

"Thank you for waking me Cole." I whispered deciding to never take my eyes off of him till we got there. He was the only thing that could distract me right now.

"Yeah, I didn't think you would have loved the idea of waking up around strangers and I didn't think you would want to miss the view. Plus Knight had to go to the bathroom again so I stopped and couldn't resist seeing your eyes any longer." Colton smiled instantly knowing how corny he sounded, but didn't look regretful in the least as his eyes shone liquid silver. Much to my dismay Colton wasn't lying when he said we were almost there. I looked up the unpaved driveway in awe at the cozy looking medium sized house in the middle of nowhere. "Welcome home Danniella." Colton broke the silence in the car before unbuckling himself and opening his door.

I forced myself to take a deep breath and unbuckle my own seatbelt. My door opened scaring the absolute shit out of me with Colton holding the door open while Knight barked happily behind him walking around his new surroundings, but staying close enough to me which made me feel a little better. Colton smiled down at me with our bags in one hand while his other hand remained outstretched for me to grab. I threaded my fingers threw his and felt whole again between my boys as we ventured toward the lycan abode before us.

The closer we got the more my senses heightened I knew without a doubt my eyes were glowing a bright honey color as everything felt out of this world. I could pick out at least a dozen other scents mixed with the smell Colton taught me was Lycan making me feel antsy at the amount of people I would have to meet and be in contact with. Colton sensed my fears and effortlessly calmed me down with a simple squeeze of his hand making me smile to myself.
