The Rise of Chapter Five

J A C K

Jack watched as the wierd trio of a girl, boy and snowman were thrown out of the ice palace by a giant snow monster. Yikes. He definitely needs to look out for that one.

Over the past few hours, Jack had a hard time keeping warm. He didn't know how to get rid of the frostbites he got. When he passed a shack, Wandering Oaken's trading post and sauna, he was pitied so much that he was given gloves and boots. He didn't want to wear them at first but the cold got him. The Guardian cloak at least fended off the cold most of the time.

As of his transformation, once he got warm, the transformation slowed down. But, he still had brown bangs. If it can still be called bangs. Almost three-fourths of his hair is brown. Not a good sign.

Another side effct of turning normal is his memories. It was like he was reverting to what he was before he became Jack Frost. The so-called Jackson who was very funny and mischievious. He remembered little things like the places for the best shows for the village children and the toys and games they used to play. Major memories like who his sister was, or his mother, was still vague. He believes that remembering about his sister or mother will mark his full transformation. As much as he wants to know who they were, he doesn't want to revert back to normal. He's a guardian now. He already has a family, and that's the children of this world.

He didn't know what to do until he saw the wierd crowd of people that gathered by where he was resting. At first there was just a teenage girl and boy with his reindeer. Soon after, a talking funny snowman accompanied them.

Jack smiled. The snowman said that they're going to bring back summer. Why not just follow them?

So Jack did follow them until they reached the palace. Along the way, he unintentionally heard some things. Like the girl's name is Anna and she's the Queen's little sister, which kind of makes her a princess. The snowman's name is Olaf and he's really funny. Jack came to like these guys but, he still did not know why he was hiding from them.

As the giant monster followed Anna and her friends, Jack carefully climbed the clear, icy staircase. The door was left ajar and nothing seemed to be suspicious so.... he went in.

The interior was nice, just like a work of a pro. Jack remembered North's attempts of making toys out of ice! The ice train station, the ice music box....those were the wonders that North, along with his yetis and elves, made. That brought a frown up his face. How was North and the other guardians? Did they arrive in time and stopped Pitch?

Jack shook his head. The guardians must do their job once again. For Jack to do that properly, He must find a way back to his own world and, if the other guardians failed, face Pitch once again. It would be so much better if the other guardians did not fail.

Such a nice agenda, Jack thought. I forgot the perks of being a guardian. The deadlines and the...pressure. I sure miss those snow days. Jack mused until he saw ice spikes growing out from walls.

He wasn't familiar with this kind of ice magic but one thing he does know about having powers contained in your body is that the powers resonate with your feelings or resolve. As much as Jack has guessed, the Queen, who he's sure is hiding here for the moment, is feeling very, very, afraid. What else to do? Jack went up the stairs to console her.

On the way upstairs, excluding the ice spikes, the view was lovely. Kind of like the place he stayed at. The place with the frozen willows, now that was a nice view. He continued upstairs. He reached the second floor. It looked like this was the top floor. Strangely yet, the room temperature was warm. He looked around until he saw a silhouette outlined outside the balcony. He can't see clearly but she, he thinks, had her back facing him. He wasn't sure, the ice made it blurry.
