The Rise of the Frozen Chapter Sixteen

Jack started flying back to the Great Hall. He was really wasting valuable time. If he dance and waddle around, Eliora might reach them and kill Elsa immediately. Jack obviously doesn't want that.
He reached the base of the stairs and started running. After a turn, he saw sandman by the entrance to the Great Hall.
"Sandy!" Jack said, relieved.
Sandman looked up and smiled. "Jack," He said. "What's new? Anything good happened?"
"Bad and good," Jack panted. "I know where Elsa is."
"Really?"
"Yeah, she's inside." Jack pulled up his hood and started to mingle with the arriving citizens of Arendelle. "Other news, Pitch is ready.Just waiting for Eliora. Come on, Sandy."
Sandman nodded and also pulled up his hood. Jack readied his staff underneath his cloak while Sandman already made sand from his palms.
"Ready?" Jack asked
"Ready." Sandman replied.
As they both stepped inside the Great Hall, they were both alarmed. One step. That was all they took yet...they can already feel it. They can sense the malicious intent itself. And they know what the cause is.
The Great Hall was covered in thick, dark, Nightmare sand.
"What the..." Jack started to say, but he bit his lip. He glanced at Sandman who was balling his fists. "Sandy..."
"What's with this place!" Sandy cried furiously, turning a few heads. He ran to the corner, the place where most nightmare sands were visible. Sandy started touching it, returning it to his golden dream sand.
Jack ran to him, slamming him to the floor. Before Sandman can fight any further, Jack held him tight. "Sandy, listen to me! It's a trap! Pitch wants you to turn it back to dreamsand so he could only revert it to nightmare sand again. Don't let him fool you!"
Sandman blinked and swept off the dirt he got in his cloak. "Sorry, Jack," He muttered. He looked like he was about to...cry. "I just felt it in the spurt of the moment I guess. I'm just worried about these children and people, that's all."
Jack nodded understandingly. "It's okay, I feel it too. I guess all we have to do now is to not let the nightmare sand get to us right?"
"SOUP!" Someone yelled. "HOT SOUP HERE!"
Jack and sandman looked at the guard handing out plates and serving hot soup. "Are you hungry?" Sandman asked Jack.
Jack looked at him, smiling. "Am I ever hungry?"
Sandman chuckled, handing over a plate to Jack. "Guess not. So, are you sure the queen is here?"
"Yeah," Jack replied while handing the plate given to him to another child. "Pitch said so."
"It may be a trap, you know." Sandman tried to fall out of line by letting the person behind always come first. Jack followed his example.
"Well, it's a good trap. I'll hand that to him but, it's our only lead right? Might not get a lead like this anymore."
"True." By this time, Jack is already the last person in the line. With one quick sweep, they followed another citizen and acted as if they knew each other, as to not raise any suspicions why they were not falling in line.
"Come on, now." Sandman hoisted himself up. "Let's find the queen."
Jack nodded. They talked about their signals. When one of them found any traces or hints to Elsa, Jack would ruffle his hair while Sandman will scratch the back of his ear. With that plan, they scoured the walls of the Great Hall.
