The Rise of Chapter Twenty Five

"Well, that was epic."

Elsa shot him a glare and continued walking forward with Jack on her heels.

"Well, it wasn't my fault that someone is very impulsive." She said under her breath.

"Hey, I'm not impulsive." Jack smiled.  "I took the initiative and also, Elsa, who went with my flow?"

Elsa gave Jack another icy glare and spurned him. "You're unbelievable!"

She was gaining a lot of distance between them and seeing her so pouty and angry makes Jack laugh. He hovered towards her and placed a kiss on her cheek.

"But you love me anyways." Jack watched as Elsa turned beet red. "Right?"

Jack almost laughed in front of Elsa when he saw how affected she was. If he knew that teasing her like this would be so much fun, then he should really do this more often.

The sight of Elsa turning beet red...blushing so furiously....It makes a smile creep onto Jack's face!

"I- Idiot!" Elsa flushed and continued walking, now faster. This time, Jack let himself laugh behind her.

See, a little while back, they almost reached the mountain portal but Elsa just had to ask if they had a plan. Back then, Jack looked at her as if she had grown another head. A plan is not exactly on Jack's priority list. Elsa was obviously disappointed and demanded him to go back. When asked why, many nonsense reasons spouted out of her mouth but Jack knew better. Although Elsa didn't say it, he knew what she wanted: A proper goodbye. Oh, and also a well-thought strategy. So they did go back, which brings us to this current scene. Walking inside the gargantuan workshop to find the center, the globe, where the guardians must be.

They found the center after talking to a few helpers. There, they saw North barking orders to his helpers. Jack thought that maybe North was making his helpers start with the toys already.

" 'Tis worktime again, M'boys! Another start to a New Year ahead! Go to your stations! Check the list! Let's! Make! Some! Toys!"

The helper crowd cheered and started to disperse. North was left, staring and observing his helpers work. Elsa walked up to him and, though Jack cannot hear since he was too far away, he knew that she was curtly asking where Tooth was. It was evident on North's expression that he didn't expect to see her again so soon but Elsa had ignored that. North's eyes wandered over to Jack's face while talking to Elsa so after she left, he looked expectantly at Jack.

"What?" Jack asked, sitting down behind him. He rested his head against his staff, a leg close to his chest and the other dangling freely.

"Jack, I wonder," North had this glint in his eyes when he faced Jack. "What ever made made you come back so soon?"

Jack can't help but chuckle at North's expression. "Someone apparently wanted a good strategy before marching into enemy territory."

"She is a queen, Jack." North said. "Strategies are her foundations of power."

"Yeah, I know that but there's also the other reason." The corners of Jack's lips twitched. "She didn't say this out loud, alright? I assumed this one on my own."

North nodded understandingly. "I think that the real reason Elsa wanted to come back is because..." Jacks's voice softened. "She wanted to have a proper goodbye. To everyone here. The guardians, the helpers. Earth. Us."

"Ah," North sat beside him. A wave of silence hung over the air, deepening their thoughts of their upcomining battle in the over world.

"North..." Jack fidgeted. "What do you think....awaits us there? In Arendelle?"
