Sans Pov

My whoopy cushion deflated and when I looked back up to see the dark figure, it was gone. Where the hell did that person or monster go? I walked back to my sentry post and got ranted to by Papyrus for not doin' stuff for my puzzles since it's been 7 days. Welp, the kid is coming down here tomorrow so yeah. This is different from the other timelines...

I looked around again to see if that other figure was around here. I saw a small flash of (h/c) and doggo chasing it. Suddenly the figure hid behind a tree and its hood flew up so I still couldn't see its face. Doggo growled and the figure growled a more intimidating growl at him. Doggo whimpered slightly before running away. I watched the figure closely as it started digging in the snow until it made a small den like hole. It climbed in and I heard some shuffling before I heard Papyrus shout for me.

"BROTHER COME ON! IT'S GETTING DARK!" I followed Pap's shout and we started heading home. I'll go check out the figure later. I have to get ready for either Frisk or Chara. I hope it's Frisk this time.

-Time Skip-

I headed to my post and sat there, waiting for the kid. Soon I heard the ruins door close. I took my place and did what I had done in every timeline. Instead I heard a low growl and a scream this time. I rushed out and saw the figure growling and pinning the kid to a tree. I rushed over after seeing that this time it was Frisk instead of Chara. I used my magic to grab the figures soul but it refused to let the magic get to it.

The figure turned around and released Frisk. Their (e/c) eyes glared at me and I saw a bit of pain in them. They're closing themselves off, I can tell. I rushed to Frisk and the figure snarled as Frisk started crying and gripping my jacket. The figures eyes softened and they gave away their glare, but instead of walking away they walked toward me and Frisk.

"Get back." I told them firmly but they didn't listen, instead they walked up to us and got down on one leg and bowed. The kid got excited and ran over to the figure, it hugged it.

Frisk and the figure hugged and the figure let go. They then signed something to Frisk and the kid pulled out a piece of candy and gave it to them. They nodded their thanks. They ate the candy and signed something to Frisk again before running off to the woods. The kid turned to me and we continued to my post.

(Y/n) Pov

After the kid gave me some candy I rushed back to my snow den I had created the day before. I watched as the child progressed until they came to a place I couldn't go, across a long and large bridge. I shook in fear as I watched all the deadly weapons and the dog attached to a rope came out of no where and was pointed at the young child. I frowned as the skeleton said he was about to activate it. As he said the word 'now' I rushed onto the bridge and shielded the child and she hugged the back of my black jacket.

"SANS, IS THAT ANOTHER HUMAN?" The skeleton asked Sans. Sans kind of sweat dropped.

"I don't know bro, but it wants to protect the human." Sans told his brother.

I jumped up slightly as the dangerous stuff went away. The skeleton left and I rushed to the other side of the bridge and collapsed in the snow, the kid running behind me. I whimpered slightly and got up as the cold tickled my skin. Sans stood protectively infront of the child. I sighed and a cloud of fog flew into the air, showing a little more of my fangs. I'm human, but I have sharp teeth from genetics.

"Why are you here?" He asked, not expecting me to answer.

Kid, should I tell you guys why? I signed to the kid and she nodded. I nodded lightly before I got ready to speak.

I was about to say something when a loud voice seemed to surprise me. It was a cute bark from a greater dog. I growled at it and it threw a spear at me. The kid was scared and Sans seemed mad still. I dodged another spear before barking viciously at the dog, causing it to flee.
