I coughed violently. The oh so familiar metallic tasting liquid came out of my mouth while I coughed. I tried to calm myself as Sans and Chara were freaking out, trying to figure out what to do.

"We need to get her to a hospital!" Sans shouted, picking me up. I winced in pain as he grazed over one of my cuts.

"No! We need to get to Alphys, the hospital would question how she got these injuries!" Chara pulled on his hoodie sleeve to guide him.

I breathed heavily, it was hard to get any air in. I gave out a painful hack into my sleeve, not wanting Sans to get anymore blood on his hoodies. I could feel him shudder as he bursted out of the house into the outdoors, holding me close. He started to rush to the river person quickly while Chara held my hanging arm.

"Why do you always get hurt, sis?" Chara looked at me worried as I chuckled happily for once.

"I can't help if I'm danger prone." I places my hand on her cheek and wiped away one of her tears. I gave a whole hearted laugh as Chara began to fume in anger.

"Sis! This isn't a laughing matter, you're really hurt." She held my hand on her cheek in her own as we got on the river person's boat.

"Where to?" They asked.

"Hotland." was all Sans said. I took my hand off Chara's cheek and snuggled into Sans' arms.

"I don't understand why you're doing this, Sans." I spoke softly but still stayed pushed up against Sans'.

"Why wouldn't I? We've been looking for you ever since the barrier broke. We wondered where you were after you didn't come out to join us in the sunlight." He hugged me close.

"Tra la la eat a mushroom everyday. Why? Because, then I know you're listening to me." The boat stopped at Hotland and rushed to Alphys' lab.

Chara knocked frantically as I felt myself slip out of consciousness.

"(Y/n)!" Was the last thing I heard before passing out.

-time skip-

I woke to the sound of steady beeping and the sound of machines working. I moved only to be hit by a wave of pain. I groaned and rubbed my head.

"Holy shit, that hurts." My voice was raspy and rough now from dehydration and just morning voice.

I opened my eyes to see an adorable little skeleton sleeping at the side of the hospital bed. I chuckled and sat up, causing the blanket to fall off. I was now in a hospital gown, making me blush in embarrassment since someone had to remove my cloths to put these on. A pair of dusty cloths were on the seat nearby Sans and the bed.

I reached over and grabbed the cloths, heading to the bathroom. I knew where I was. I am in the true lab. A place where Alphys and W.D. Gaster had worked on making an artificial soul. It was successful in one timeline after the barrier broke and the artificial souls were used to help humans and young monsters live after developing deadly sicknesses. I looked at the pair of cloths I was given to wear.

It was a pair of torn dark blue jeans, a pair of combat boots, black knee high socks, a (f/c) long sleeve shirt, a pair of black fingerless gloves, and a black hoodie. Alphys was also kind enough to give me a mask to wear.

(Sorry if the picture is sideways. But that's the mask she gave yah)

I put on the cloths quickly and put on the mask. Despite the crack, it was pretty cool. It looks like I wouldn't be able to see through the mask from the front, but I can see through it clearly. I folded the gown neatly and put it on the counter before readjusting my cloths to a better area and headed out, taking the gown with me. I set it on the bed and saw Sans was still asleep.

I went over to him and hugged him tightly, moving onto the bed with him in my arms. I made it so he was straddling me, making it easier for me to hug him. He hugged back despite being asleep and gave a soft sigh of relief. I nuzzled into his neck and gave a pur of content, inhaling his scent. He smelt of ketchup and..... Echoflowers? Odd. But I like the smell. The smell of bark and vanilla lingered into the scent as well. But the smell of ketchup was old, as though he hadn't been drinking ketchup for a while.

"Uugh....what?" He woke up, but I didn't remove myself from his neck. My mask was on the bed beside us, but that didn't matter.

"Look who's up finally, sleepy bones." I spoke softly, giving a light squeeze.

"(Y/n), your awake!" He shouted...kinda? He didn't seem to be awake enough to shout so he raised his voice.

"Heya. How long have I been asleep?" I nuzzled into him more, I could feel heat come from his face from my back.

"You've been sleeping for three weeks. I'm so glad you're awake." I could feel him hug me tighter.
