You're More Than Super

"Hey. You awake?"

Robin perked up to the vibrating of her phone. It was about 1 in the morning and she was in the middle of a really interesting book.

She did this often, staying up until really late, just reading a book. Or not get any sleep at all, for that matter. Call it a bad habit. She was just curious as to why Franky was still awake at this time. Is something wrong?

"Yes, I am. Is something the matter?"

It took a minute for a response.

"Nah. Everything is super super! Just wanna know if you wanna do something tomorrow."

Of course she did, but it was rather strange to ask so early on a Friday morning. What reason would he have to not just ask her at school?

"Sure, what did you have in mind?"

"Well, my buddy, Iceberg is having a party and I thought maybe you'd wanna go?"

Oh, a party. Hmm.

Robin wasn't too big on parties, or any big social gathering for that matter. Whenever she happened to show up, she would always be that one person to just go to a party and lean against the wall dinking soda, not talking to anybody.

We all know that person.

It was like that, until she met Franky. Franky showed her that it was okay to express yourself and interact with people and make friends. Put your ideas and thoughts out there! No matter how...bizarre they were.

"Yes, I'd love to go to a party with you."

"SUPER!! I'll pick you up at 6 tomorrow. Goodnight, love ya!"

"Yes, goodnight. I love you too."

A party, huh? I wonder if everyone else will be there as well.

A little too deep in her thoughts to focus on the book, she decided to go to sleep.

A few hours later, Robin got ready for school and walled downstairs to get some breakfast.

Once, reaching the kitchen, Robin spotted her mother, Olvia doing some research.

"Good morning, mother."

Olvia turned and smiled. "Good morning, sweetheart. How did you sleep, or were you up all night reading a book?" She asked with a light giggle.

"Yes, I was actually. Sorry, I sort of lost track of time."

"Hmm, I don't mind too much, I just hope it's not interfering with your studies."

Yup, that was always Olvia's main concern. Whether Robin was successful in her academics or not. She had always seen her daughter as an overachiever and raised her as such. In other words, Olvia was one of those parents who chewed you out for having a 'C' on your report card.
