Chapter 16- I Lived

I finally pulled back up to the set and noticed Ryan waiting outside by himself. He walks over to the car and taps on my window.

"Hey beautiful." He said as I rolled down the window.

"Hey there handsome." I answered back, smiling at him.

He leans in and kisses me on the lips.

"Damn baby. I love those lips." He says between kisses.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

He pulls away and opens the door for me. I thanked him and he helps me with holding the white box with the cake inside. We walk over to the guys' trailer and walked inside.

"Hey took you long enough." Mark said crossing his arms at me.

"Sorry. I got a little tied up." I lied, glaring at Ryan.

He winks at me and I start to blush.

"Oh shit! Hide the cake Eddie's coming!" Whisper-yelled Mark.

We grab Ryan's jacket and throw it on top of the box.

"So uh Natalie why don't you just drop by the set for our after party?"

"You will?! I mean yeah okay see you later I guess."

"Bye."

"Smooth move Fisher." Ryan chuckled.

"Shut up Ryan! Is your girlfriend's cousin really hot?" He asked.

"I guess you can say that." Ryan shrugged, leaning against the the wall.

"Anyways, when are we going to meet your girlfriend dude? You've been talking about a lot and we still haven't met her." Asked Zach.

I see Ryan nod his head over to me and Zach's jaw drops. Ryan runs his hand across his neck, telling Zach to shut up.

I looked at the time and saw that the show was about to start.

"Guys the show's about to start!" I said as I grabbed a clipboard from the table.

"Well we better get going." Said Eddie as the six of us went inside the set and met up with Brent, Drew, and Brian.

We were all backstage and I had the privilege to meet the other acts that were performing.

"Hey Ryan! So nice to see you again!" Said Ryan's friend Adam.

"Hey man what's up? Long time no see?" Answered Ryan as they gave each other a hug.

"I've been good man and you?"

"I've been good as well." He turns to me.

"Adam you remember Jo right?"

"Of course! It's so nice to see you again babes." He said as he pulled me in for a massive hug.

"Why is it that you alway call me babes?" I asked Adam as Ryan starts laughing.

"I don't know it suits you." He smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back.

I mean how can you not smile? It's Adam freaking Levine!

"OneRepublic is on after the commercial break." One of the producers say.

"Alright I have to get back to my chair but we'll talk during the break." Adam said as he quickly ran up to his chair.

"Okay baby wish me luck." Ryan whispered in my ear.

"Good luck." I whispered back and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
