Ryan's POV

"So what am I gonna do Drew? What do I give a girl who has everything?" I said to Drew, making sure nobody could hear me

"You're creative dude. You'll think of something and besides as long as it's from the heart she's gonna love it." He answered.

"Yeah, you're right but still I can't believe I waited until the last minute to get her something." I sighed.

"Well that's because you're a workaholic Ry."

"Yeah. I just need to focus on OneRepublic right now and not anything else."

Suddenly I hear a door slam shut and Jo rushing past me.

"Hey Drew. I've gotta go just make sure everything is set up." I said and hung up.

"Yo Jo! Are you okay?!" I asked in concern as I ran up behind her.

"I'm fine." She smiled weakly which I'm sure is fake.

"I'm just gonna go for a walk." She quickly said and walked away from me.

"Dammit." I muttered to myself.

I turned on my heel and headed back into the studio where I saw Benny muttering something to Ariana and her just rolling her eyes at him like a spoiled brat.

"Guys have you seen my girlfriend anywhere?" I asked, pretending like I knew nothing of the situation.

"She went to get some fresh air sweetie." Said Ariana as she hopped up from her chair and stands dangerously close to me.

"Yeah, after you insulted her and made her feel like shit." Answered Benny, who crossed his arms.

"What?! Ariana what did you tell her?!" I got angry.

If Jo does something to herself I'll never forgive myself.

"Don't deny it Ryan, you were only with that girl because you felt bad for her." She said as her fingertips brushed against my chest.

I backed away from her.

"Don't touch me! How could you say something like that to her?! Do you know what you've done?!" I shouted at her, making her jump back to my surprise.

"Dammit she just started becoming herself again. She just got over the miscarriage. Fuck!" I shouted forgetting Benny and Ariana were still in the room.

Suddenly, I heard her gasp.

"Miscarriage?!" Benny said in astonishment.

"I've gotta go find her." I said as I grabbed my stuff and stormed out of the room.

I ran down the stairs and raced out of the building to find my car still in the parking space.

Out of nowhere these cameras all show up in front of me.

"Ryan, did you and Milena call off your engagement?!" Shouted various photographers at me.

"Call off our engagement?!" I asked in confusion.

"No!" I answered back.

"Well we just saw her walk out without her engagement ring." Answered another photographer.

"Shit!" I muttered as I sprinted across the throng of people and and dashed into my car.

Dammit! I should've went after her! Why didn't I go after her?! Jesus! I can be so stupid sometimes!

I start to wander off and I recognize the scenery in front of me.

The sun was sinking fast now over the Brooklyn Bridge. The sky had turned to a clear, purple-tinged grey, but to the west there was a ruby-red glow, overlooking the rest of the city.
