"So what do you want to do today, seeing as it is both our birthdays today?" I asked Johana as I traced her back tattoo with my index finger.

"I don't know. Whatever you wanna do. Surprise me." She says as she caresses my face.

"How about... We go to dinner, and then I don't know go out dancing."

"That sounds fun. But I don't want you to embarrass yourself Ryan."

"I'm an amazing dancer half pint!"

"Pfft. Yeah right I've seen you dance over the years and you got wo-"

I cut her off by straddling her and placing her arms over her head.

"Care to say that again?" I growled.

She gives me an arrogant smirk.

"You suck at dancing." She taunted.

"You're gonna pay for that." I whispered in her ear and brushed my lips against hers.

In an instant, she responds to the kiss and wriggles her hands free, wrapping them around my neck.

"You do know you're not getting any right?" She says between kisses.

"I know but let me have my fun." I joked.

Her hands run down down my chest and I wince once her fingers brush against my right side.

"Agh!" I growled and pulled away.

"I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" She asks, sitting up on the bed.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I answered.

She pushes me back on the mattress and gasps.

"What happened to your side?" She asked, as she traced her fingertips across the markings.

"I've been using the tambourine a lot and I guess I don't know my own strength." I sighed as I fell back onto the mattress.

Suddenly I felt her get on top of me and traced the bruises on the side of my body.

"Does it still hurt?" She asked.

"Not so much. Just gotta lay off the tambourine you know?"

She lays her head on my chest and the two of us stay in each other's embrace for what seemed a lifetime.

That is, until Jo's phone rang. She got off me, grabbed her phone and took off like a shot out of our room and into the tour bus bathroom.

"What the hell was that all about?" I asked myself.

I walked over and pressed my ear against the door to listen in on the conversation.

"Bueno, no se Zacharius. Como vamos a darle la sopressa a Ryan?" She said.

Dammit! I hate it when Zach and Jo speak Spanish to each other. It makes me feel, left out.

"Entonces salimos a cenar y cuando estamos cerca te texteo?"

"Alright."

"Cool! See you soon Zach!" She answers and hung up.

Oh shit!

I backed away from the door and sat down and minded my own business.

She walks out and jumps when she sees me.

"Oh my gosh Ryan! You scared me!" She says putting her hand on her chest.

"Sorry." I answered blandly.
