Ryan's P.O.V.

She stared at me in disbelief. Almost as if she saw a ghost or something. She just stands there smiling at me with bloodshot eyes and tears streaming down her face. She looks like she hasn't eaten or slept in days. Suddenly, I felt some pain shoot through my brain and I grab my head.

"What happened?" I groaned.

"You're awake!" She repeated, wiping the tears from her eyes.

"Yes, I'm awake now what the hell is going on?" I asked as I tried to get up.

"You got hit by a car Wednesday night, trying to save me." She answered softly.

Everything leading up to the incident start flooding into my mind.

"You're okay, right?" I asked, squeezing her hand again.

"Just a couple of bruises, but how are you feeling?" She asked with concern, moving her hand to place it on my cheek, sending sparks through my body. God I've missed her so much.

"I'm okay." I tried to force a smile. Honestly, my head was hurting like crazy and I felt exhausted, but Jo had been under enough stress lately by the looks of it.

"I'm so glad you're okay, I was scared to death." She whispered.

I ran my thumb across her knuckles, and tried to smile again for her.

"It's all okay, baby. I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere."

"I missed you so much Ryan, I'm so sorry." She said, her brown eyes filling with tears while her hand continued to rest on my cheek.

"Don't be sorry, we're both together now and that's what matters." I said as I brought her hand up to my lips and kissed it.

Suddenly, the doctor and his nurses came into the room and run some tests on me.

"I'll be waiting outside." Jo said as she was walking out but I grab her hand.

"Please stay. You know how much I hate being in the hospital." I chuckled.

"Ryan, if it wasn't for me running out into the street, you wouldn't be in the hospital." She said as she wiped the tears from her eyes and the doctor and nurses left the room.

"Baby the way I was being lately, I would probably end up here anyway."

"Were you acting that way because of me?" She squeaked.

I sighed.

"That's what I thought at first. After you left I was mad. Just really mad. I was so stubborn thinking you gave up on our relationship and then I started dating Gen again. I thought if I started dating her, it would help me get over you but it didn't work. She wasn't you. She kinda noticed that I didn't really love her because she didn't bother giving me an excuse when I walked in on her cheating on me."

"She cheated on you?" Jo asked in surprise.

"You seem surprised about finding out."

"She claimed she loves you."

"She lied."

Johana grabs a chair and sits next to me. I looked at her eyes, then down at her lips.

"I really want to kiss you Johana. But I can't." I said as I sat up and leaned in a little.

"That hasn't stopped you before. I mean remember New York?" She said softly as she bit her lip.

"How could I not? I stole that kiss from you and you were freaking out because you thought you were cheating." I chuckled.

"Shut the fuck up Tedder. Besides the last time I checked, I was seeing somebody when you kissed me." She laughs back as she gets up from the chair and gently sits close to me on the hospital bed.
