Jo's POV
"I wonder what's taking Ryan so long?" I said to myself as I pulled out my phone and played 2048. It's a really addicting game.
I soon got tired of it and shoved my phone back into my pocket, looking through the rear view mirror. He seems a little on edge and nervous, which is weird because he usually never acts like this unless it's something he finds important. Kinda like when he found me at the hospital the day I had a breakdown.
The look on his face broke my heart. Suddenly passenger side door opens, snapping me from my thoughts.
"Come on Jo and grab my hat!" He says smiling at me as he extended his hand out to me while I grabbed his hat from the back seat."
"So what are we doing here?" I asked as I took his hand and he helped me out of the car, referring to the fact that we were standing in front of the Eiffel Tower.
"Well, remember when we laying in the grass watching the stars and you told me how you used to watch the New York skyline down in Hoboken whenever you felt sad?" He asked, as he placed the fedora on his head.
"Yeah?" I answered, furrowing my eyebrows in confusion.
"Well I want you to see another skyline. With me." He beams, his eyes lighting up as well.
"Um Ryan?" I asked as I stopped him.
"Yeah babe?" He answered, turning around and looked me in the eyes.
"Are you alright? You seemed a little... Anxious." I said, biting my lip nervously.
He pulls me close and kisses my forehead.
"Why would I be nervous?" He asked as he pulled his lips away.
"I don't know. Jet lag is making me see things." I smiled at him and he smiled back.
"Let's get going!" He exclaimed as he took me by the hand and ran towards the elevator.
The moment the elevator doors close, he pushed me up against the wall and crashes his lips against mine. Oh my! I haven't felt wanted this much in a while. I kissed him back, took the fedora off his head and ran my fingers through his unruly dirty blond hair, causing him to bit my lip.
"I miss those soft lips of yours." He says between kisses.
Suddenly we heard a ding and Ryan pulls away smiling while I'm trying to catch my breath. He takes the hat, placed it on his head and winks at me.
My eyes widen when I laid my eyes on the beautiful sight before me.
"Ryan this is just.... I'm speechless." I sincerely said to him as I turned to him.
"Amazing isn't it?" He asked and I nodded.
Normally, I'm afraid of heights however, something possessed me to walk over to the rail to get a closer view of the beautiful Parisian skyline.
"You know when I was seventeen I made the mistake in coming up here alone while there were like ten couples making out." He says as he wrapped his strong arms around my waist.
"Oh yeah I remember you calling me at like 4:30 in the morning, ranting on how awkward you felt." I answered, placing my head against his chest.
"Yeah and I remember you laughing at me." He said pursing his lips.
"But at least you're not lonely here this time."
"You're right. I have you in my life." He said as he turned me towards him.
"I never realized how much I could love someone this much. It almost scares me." I whispered as I looked into his eyes.
"After everything you went through in your life, you deserve someone who makes you happy. I just hope that man is me." He said with with an anxious look in his eyes.
