"Feel the magic in the air."
—Magic In the Air, Euro 2016 Montage.
______________
[ have your heard Magic in the Air, yet? if not, well, I pity you then. it was the song of the amazing football tournament EURO 2016, and it so damn full of energy it makes you feel like you are actually watching the game live in a stadium. are there any football fans here like me? what's y'all's favourite club? ]
"Mom, we really need to get separate rooms because Adam just smells like...a dead walrus." the fifteen year old boy scrunched up his nose in disgust, pointing at his brother on his right. Nash and I listened to our children talk, more like rant.
This would happen once or twice at least in every week : The two boys would bring their set of problems to us and we, being the generous parents we were, would tell them that they weren't even big problems - heck, not even problems at all. "You're the one who smells like a dead walrus!" Aaron retorted at his brother, pushing him to his left."See?! He even hits me!" Adam yelled back while the two of us watched our twin boys have a little row with each other.
Now, let me tell you, raising fifteen year old twin boys wasn't an easy task, hell it still isn't.
Nash looked at me with pleading eyes. The look in his eyes screaming get the fuck over with this already.
I don't blame you, Nashy.
"Okay, okay, fine. Aaron, Adam, you both really need to stop talking this instant. This is gettiung out of hands! You both are brothers! Brothers don't fight like girls." I stood up from my chair, death glaring at the three men in the room - well, one man and two boys technically.
"But mom, he stinks." Aaron whispered after a bit, using his hand to shield himself from Adam.
"I heard that." Adam retorted, rolling his eyes.
"Okay, that's enough. No separate rooms, no pizza for a week, no going out for a week and absolutely no video games." Nash finally stepped in and my, did he step in at a great moment. He was like the super cool dad one could ask for - all chill and not really giving the shit about anything type. He really didn't lose his temper easily but when he did...
Adam, Aaron and I had to suffer.
The two boys let their jaws fall on the floor, considering that they had actually really made their father really angry. "Are we clear?" He hissed, his eyes piercing through Adam's and Aaron's blue ones.
The boys definitely got Nash's electric blue eyes and even the same hair colour but then again, both of us had black hair. Aaron and Adam had their father's eyes, that was true, no doubt there. Seems like the only thing they got from me were the lashes. Nash had quite short eye lashes whereas mine were relatively longer.
"Dad, we're sorry." Adam broke the silence. It still amazed me how one of them would speak but on the behalf of the other one as well, like both of them were telepathic and knew what to say at what time.
Shit, I wanted a twin, too.
"Don't talk to me right now." Nash whispered, his eyes slightly twitching, "Go." He said and hesitantly the two boys left the room. Adam stepped away first and then grabbing his brother's hand, dragging him along with him. "See, now you made him angry." I heard Aaron whisper to Adam.
Adam smacked his twin on the head as both of them went upstairs, leaving me to Nash. I sighed, walking over to him and placing my hand on his back. "That was intense."
