"I can't stop thinking bout the sand in my feet, I got a heartache cause cold ain't for me. I wish my worries would wash into the sea. Cause it's far too cold darling, cold ain't for me."

"Thanks, Evan. That was really sweet of you." I tell him once I have looped my arm around his. He could be a good friend to me, now that I think of it.

At least better than Sean and Ashley. God knows where both of them are.

"Sure Sophia." He hesitantly replies, awkwardly scratching his neck.

Awwh, is he nervous? "You should sit with me quite often now that you've come."

"I'll." I beam up at him. Suddenly, all my depression and anxiety is thrown out of the window now that I have someone to talk to. Who cares if he's just someone I met today, right? We could be good friends.

"You hungry? I know a great café down the lane. I swear, they have the best red velvet cake." Evan closes his eyes, as though devouring the taste of this cake as he tells me.

Correction, imaginary cake.

"Awesome then. Besides, I am a little hungry." I place a hand on my stomach at the thought. "Do you want to ditch P.E?" I smirk at him at which he raises an eyebrow at me.

"You out of all the people want to ditch class?" He gives me a pointed look. Not even his thick black-rimmed glasses could hide the shock in his eyes.

"Yes. What's wrong with that?" I challenge.

"Oh nothing's wrong, it's just, you never ditch class. That's why I'm surprised. That's all. Like, I took you as the type to follow the rules and be the bookworm type, like me. Ha." If someone was nervous, it was definitely Evan.

My fingers curl around his wrist and yank him forward with me, "Well, looks like it's time to break the rules and be who you really are, no?" With that, I tug him forward and we go running out of the school.

"Fuck, I'll miss my photography class." Evan hissed as we caught our breathes on the stone pavement outside the school.

For a fraction of a second, my eyes literally fall out from their sockets. As though noticing this, Evan looks upto me. "What's wrong?"

"You just cursed. Do you curse? Have you ever cursed before? Do you even know how t—" I kept on ranting until Evan slapped his hand on my mouth.

"Yes Sophia. I do curse. What am I? Eight? That I can't curse." He laughs, removing his hand from my mouth.

"Fair enough." I mutter under my breath. Evan's fingers curl around my wrist as he tugs me forward wity him. "Come on now, I need to get the freshest red velvet cake they have!" He perks and I smile.

Maybe coming down here with him was not a bad idea.

"Okay. Let's go." I push myself forward, swinging our locked hands together as we moved further. My phone vibrates in my pocket and I waste no time in fishing it out and glancing at the screen.

Luce : where r ya? Its almost lunch and I am looking 4 you. Did you ditch me? -__- ass move, Soph.

Oh. I thought it might be Max. Shit, how stupid of me to even think something like that. Something like Max will come on a white horse in a royal cape and swing me on his horse and you know the next, we lived happily ever after.
