"ah crap."

"where are you heading hanbyul?"

hanbyul stopped and her lips curved upwards into a sheepish grin. "I need to clean up the indoor pool after the swim team's practice as punishment for being late this morning for assembly. you can go on first without me, soeun." she slipped her phone into her pocket.

although she managed to get enter the school premises through the gate with the help of that random student counsellor on duty, she didn't manage to slip pass her homeroom teacher quick enough. if only she had ran a little more, she wouldn't be stuck with having to clean up the school's pool.

soeun huffed, "unbelievable."

"you love me." hanbyul stuck her tongue out at her and turned her heels. "see you tomorrow!"

"sure, that is if you'll come to school on time. text me soon when you're done."

"for your information, this is my first time! and my phone's almost dead, so don't you dare spam me."

the school's pool was huge. it was expected of the school since they are only willing to spend their money on their athletes and the students who specialises in different kinds of art. she was starting to doubt if she could finish cleaning up the pool before dark. but what could happen? how bad can it be other than the fact that it's twice the size of their school's soccer field?

boy, was she wrong.

her jaw dropped when the pool came to view once she reached the top of the stairs. "what the fuck?!"

above the surface of the pool was scattered with leaves, twigs and all sorts of things mother nature could bring from her garden with the help of the wind. not only that, there were floaties and foam boards floating in the middle of the pool. how the hell is she going to retrieve them back? she didn't came prepare with any extra pair of clothes, heck she doesn't even know how to swim!

grunting deeply under her breath, her picked up the net stored in the little storage room and marched her way towards the pool. she looked at the giant clock mounted at the top of the wall at the spectator's seats and sighed. looks like she's going to spend her time up here longer than expected.

hanbyul was down to the last two floaties in the middle of the pool until she's free to go home. she checked the time on the giant clock again and groaned. she was crouched over at the edge of the pool reaching out for the remaining two floaties aka her ticket home, with the net. this had been the most stretching she done all year, or actually, her entire existence. she nearly retrieved them when her hands positioned by the edge slipped, giving her a mini heart attack. "shit, that was a close one." she heaved a loud sigh of relief.

suddenly, she heard a chuckle from behind. as an automatic reaction, she used the net as a self defence weapon and whipped her head behind to see who it was. "oh, hey jaemin."

"I see you still haven't kicked your habit of excessive swearing yet huh." he smiled.

"you know I can't help it." hanbyul replied and turned her attention away from him, focusing back onto the two floaties in the middle of the pool. "what are you doing here anyways?"
