Chapter 10: New teacher

"What do you think that was all about?" Raine asked as she got back into bed

"Not a clue, but what really has me confused is the fact that professor Ozpin addressed him as Roman Torchwick." Luna replied

"What's so weird about that?" Raine asked

"Roman Torchwick has been dead for 4 years remember? He died at the battle of Beacon. It was all over the news after Professor Rose confirmed his death." Ocean answered as she looked over at Sage who was on her scroll "Hey Sage whatcha doing?" She asked, Sage turned around slowly with a shocked look in her face

"Sage what's wrong?" Luna asked, Sage looked up from her scroll

"Do any of you know what Roman Torchwick looked like when he was alive?" Sage asked, they all shook their heads. Sage showed them an image on her scroll that was a mug shot of a man wearing a white coat, had green eyes, and had orange hair that covered one of his eyes. They all sat there in shocked silence as they gazed at the photo of the man that they saw outside, a man who was supposed to be dead.

"What the hell? I thought- do you guys think that that the professors knew about this?" Ocean asked

"No, they all seemed pretty surprised." Sage replied

"What about professor Rose? Did you see her reaction? It was like she'd seen him before-"

"Well of course she's seen him before, I mean she thought she witnessed him die." Luna cut in

"You didn't let me finish. I was going to say... it looked like she was embarrassed to look at him." Raine finished, they all raised their eyebrows

"Are you saying that you think Professor Rose and Roman Torchwick might have-" Ocean began

"What?! No! I meant like that she might have seen him recently or something along those lines." Raine said defensively

"I don't know about that, let's ask Professor Rose in the morning." Sage suggested

"Agreed." They all said as they turned in for the night

Time skip

The next morning the girls went down to breakfast then went off to their classes for the day.

Team SOLR didn't all have the same classes together. Raine and Sage made their way to their third class of the day which was Criminal Psychology. They were surprised to see Professor Rose and the man from the night before, everyone took their seats, Raine and Sage sat next to each other in the front row.

"Hello students, I know your all probably wondering why this man is here right now instead of a prison cell." She began

"Way to state the obvious Red." The man chuckled, Professor Rose glared at him then continued

"Well from now on he will be your new Criminal Psychology teacher, you are not to tell anyone about who he is nor are you allowed to say or speak about him while you are out in public. Do I make myself clear?" Everyone nodded

"Yes Professor Rose." They all said

"Good. Any questions?" She asked, Geo raised his hand "Yes?"

"So what do we call him. Both in class and outside of class?" He asked, Ruby looked at Roman

"Outside of class you can refer to me as Professor C.R....but in class you will refer to me as Sir or Professor." Roman stated, Sage and Raine looked at each other and smiled before looking at him "Understood?" They both saluted him
