Chapter 18: Luna's Dream Part 2

Luna paced the room nervously and looked at the clock, 'Any minute now...' she thought, when the door suddenly opened

"Hey Luna, when did you get here?" Raine asked,

"A while ago, where are the others?" She asked, Raine pointed behind towards the open door

"They're right behind me, they should be here any second." Just as she finished the sentence Ocean and Sage both walked in the door and shut it.

"You said you wanted to talk with us?" Sage asked, Luna nodded and walked over to her desk and pulled out an envelope addressed to her. Ocean recognized it immediately

"Isn't that the letter you got a few weeks ago?" She asked, Luna nodded

"What about it?" Sage asked, Luna sighed

"It's from... my family." She replied "I know you've all noticed that I've been acting strange since it came in the mail and are probably wondering why? Well... remember when I said my parents were pretty strict with me?" They all nodded

"Yeah, they never really let you go anywhere fun because of school and stuff." Raine said, Luna nodded

"Yeah, except the controlled a lot more than my social life." She paused "They controlled what I watched on tv, what kind of books I read, they were even deciding where I was going to school." Luna explained "They wanted me to go to Atlas academy to study to become a huntress. I grew up knowing I'd be going to Atlas, never even thinking about the other academy's of Remnant."

"Why did they want you to go to Atlas so badly?" Raine asked

"Well for starters, it's were my parents went and where my brothers and sister went and-"

"Woah! Wait! Sister? You never told us you had a sister!" Ocean exclaimed, smiling happily "What's she like? What's her name?" She asked excitedly, Luna looked at the ground

"My sister... Laverne, is one of the reasons why I didn't have that much freedom with my family. Sure she went to Atlas, but she always took advantage of the freedom my parents gave her. She snuck out at night, slept over at friends houses without permission, talked back to my parents, dyed her hair without permission, went to parties without permission. And when I was born my figured because they had given her to much freedom, was the reason she turned out that way so, they decided they wouldn't allow me to have those freedoms, so I wouldn't be like her!" Luna yelled as she gritted her teeth and continued to stare at the ground, refusing to look at the faces of her teammates "The other reasons, I figured out on my own. Other than the fact that practically everyone in my family has gone to Atlas, they wanted to make sure I grew up like them and lived like them and near them even after I graduated. They never wanted me to leave."

"But why you? Why not your brothers?" Raine asked

"Because since Laverne was kicked out and bailed, they wanted me to become the perfect daughter and someday marry someone from Atlas just like the rest of my family, and have a family in Atlas, just like the rest of my family, and raise my family like they raised me." Luna seethed "They controlled me for years until my last year at the training academy, when they began talking about the huntsmen academies, They told us about every single on from Shade academy to Heaven academy. That's when I learned about Beacon. I knew as soon as I heard about it and about Weiss Schnee that I wanted to go here to become a huntress. So I grabbed an application and brochure for Beacon and stuffed in my book bag before anybody could see it and filled it out. Weeks past and the school year finally ended and I waited anxiously for the letter from Beacon, when it finally came, I was overjoyed to see I was accepted.
