Yule Ball (End) And Second Task

Hello Hello Hello! So Christmas happened, and that was fun, got lots of cool shit, gave lots of cool shit to cool people and it was all cool. Sept for the weather. Weather was hot as balls, so... anyway, Here's an update because my other half (Smiley) reminded me that I should probably update soon. So yeah, here we are! "Hi Rem." Joy says to me. I Sheepishly gave her a small smile. I didn't know what to say to her."Can we go for a walk?"

I looked at Joel, who looked down to me and he lifted his eye brow, basically saying, "Go, or I'll purposefully trip you while we dance."

I nodded and I let her lead the way outside.

Joel's POV

"So, Demetri, how's life been?" I awkwardly say when Rem and Joy were outside.

"Not that bad... Can't complain."

Then we turned our backs to the wall and just stood there.

Rem's POV

"We need to talk." she says. She motioned to the stone bench that was near us and we sat. I nodded and she continued.

"I Hate that we aren't talking. I miss you But, I can't really apologies for something I don't know I did. So, will you tell me what's bothering you?"

"Malfoy." I said flatly.

"Malfoy?" she says confused, "What about him?"

"Your association with him. He's only going to hurt you and as your friend, I can't allow that. There's also the fast that his parent's are in league with my own parents who want me dead, most likely, and because of that, I can't trust him." I say.

"Have you considered that he isn't his parents?" she asks quietly. My mind stops in its tracks.

'All children carry some part of their parents. I don't think I've ever seen his parents act nurturing towards him in any way.... He has to be his parents. Then, I have to be my parents."

"Okay, fine." I conceded. I don;t want to be my parents. Maybe she could help him change.

"Are we okay?"

'Yes, we're alright."

"Good, It's freezing out here!" She exclaims as she stands. I chuckle and stand with her and together we went back into the Great Hall.

Joel and Demetri were sitting at a table talking to eachother. Surprisingly enough, the evening wasn't as bad as I had expected it to be. I thought that I would sit in a corner and drink punch the entire night, like I usually did at fancy gala's, but I danced with Joel, and with Joy, even though I was tripping half the night.

Demetri and Joy decided to take a walk outside after the ball. It was almost midnight and things were starting to die down. Joel and I were starting to get bored. We sat down at a table with some punch and just talked for a while.

"So last year, " I began,

"Ummhumm?"

"I'm sure you had friends."

"Yes, what about them?" he says looking more interested.

"That's my question! What about them? I know almost nothing about your experience at the muggle school, only that you were bullied." I explain.
