Chapter III // Immortality Glamour

"Elena," Rosalie Cullen is the very first to greet her returning sister.

The two platinum blondes reunite in a tight embrace. The entire coven considers them as twins, the Barbie Twins as Emmett prefers. Blonde, cold, and posh. The entire coven surrounds their family returning from Italy. Alice claims all credit for bringing back Elena, no one protesting against it. They are all happy that she returns and that is all that matters. They accept her with open arms, none questioning her disappearance a decade or so ago. Carlisle, however, sent an expression along the lines of we'll talk later.

"We found her in Italy, a long way from home."

Bella stands behind the crowd, feeling a little out of place. Her boyfriend's family is in rejoice of their member's return and all she can think about is the pain the blonde caused her. The excruciating, traumatizing pain she felt after hearing the single word destroy.

"Bella, to formally introduce, this is Elena Cullen."

The mortal has never witnessed Rosalie gleam as much as that moment. She has always given her the cold shoulder but at that instant, she is a completely different person. Bella waves Elena a hello before extending her hand out for a shake. Bella's eyes are clear of anger and fear, the wanting to stand tall but worrying of writhing in pain. The brunette finally takes the chance to properly examine the woman. Those golden locks are inhumanly platinum, but then again, she isn't a human to begin with. It is in a very high bun with deliberately place strands of curly ringlets framing her heart shape face. Her attire is the same as it was in Italy, minus the black overcoat.

Elena could not help but feel slight excitement when the intoxicating scent of human blood fills her nostrils. The pumping of her arteries bounces around in her ear. She notices the brunette's intense gaze at her own crimson optics.

A concentration of that caliber can only mean that Bella is not very familiar with the reality of vampires. Not all of them can be like the Cullens. She did not realize the tight grip her hand forms around the mortal until a whimper is release. A cold hand wraps around the blonde's wrist and ends their contact. Edward pulls his significant other to the other side of the room and examining Bella's hand which bears a reddening handprint. Elena mutters an apology as Rosalie smirks in satisfaction.
