Tim POV: "What's this about? Is Bill ok? My mom said he is still alive but yall aren't sure how long he will be?" I asked the doctor. "Right now he is stable, but his heart has sustained a lot of damage. When somone has a heat attack, part of their heart becomes permanently damaged. Bill had a really massive heart attack, so a good portion of his heart is no longer functional." "Is there anything you can do?" "The only option we have left is to put him on the transplant list but..." "So do it! Put him on the transplant list!" I interupted. "There are two problems with that. The first being that he most likely won't make it long enough to get a new heart. Honestly, it's a miracle he has survived this long. And the second problem is that he refuses to be put on the transplant list." "What? Why?" "I don't know, you will have to ask him that....But the reason I called you in here is because Bill has you listed as his medical power of attorney." "What does that mean?" I asked. "It means that if Bill reached the point where he could no longer make medical desicions for himself, you will need to step in and make them for him." I was shocked at this. I knew me and Bill were close, but why did he choose me for this? Why didn't he choose someone like mom? "Can I see him now." I asked the doctor. "Yes, go ahead." When I walked out of the office everyone was startes asking me questions. I ignored them all and went straight into Bills room.
