Faith POV: "Wait, this is your house?!" I said with a shocked expression. We had just pulled into the driveway of a big beautiful house that was right in the middle of a huge farm. "Were you expecting something different." "Umm, yeah! Don't take this the wrong way, but you don't strike me as the kind of guy that would own a house like this. I mean, you work at an auto shop, how can you afford this?" "It was my grandmothers house. When she died she left it to me in her will. But don't be too impressed, the inside is practically empty except for a few pieces of furniture." "Why is that?" "Well, I told you about how I was married before." He said. I shook my head yes."At that time I had moved in with my wife. After we divorced I was living in the break room at the shop. Then my granny passed, and she left the house to me. Granny had been living in a nursing home for the past 5 or so years, so we sold all most all of her furniture in the house to help pay the bills...Everyone keeps urging me to just sell the house too, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I pretty much grew up here." He said. "I think it's sweet that you want to keep her house. And it's a gorgeous house!" "I think so too. Who knows, maybe one day I'll settle down with someone and this will be our home." He said with a smile. I couldn't help but think about the possibility of him and I living here together. I know it's only our first date, but something about this house just felt like home. I looked over at Tim and for a few quick second our eyes met. I stared deep into his big brown eyes and for a moment I though we were both going to lean in for a kiss, but then he looked away. "The rain is getting lighter, what do you say we make a run for the front door while we still can?" Tim said and I agreed. As soon as we stepped out of the car the rain started to pour down hard again. Tim grabbed my hand and we took off running down the drive way to the front door.
