Cameron's POV
It has been a year since any vampire accidence. We all have our weapons and we have been trained. Vivian and Jake are still together. And yes, me and Jake have made up. I have been put on dawn border patrol. I grabbed my dagger and small "instant-light" bombs. I bid the rest of the team goodnight.
I set out with Christian, Zoe's assistant(and boyfriend). He can be really annoying sometimes. We are stopping every 10 mins. so he can collect a different herb for Zoe's medical collection. I was about to check the southern perimeter when I heard a small scream and then a loud thud.
Christian's POV
"Oh! Catmint! Zoe will want that before winter starts!" I bent down and gently picked the white and blue mint leaves. I put them in a little vile. I looked up and saw Cameron gritting his teeth. "Im dreadfully sorry." I said instantly feeling a bit bad. "I didn't mean to cause a disturbance."
"No worries." Cameron said through closed teeth.
It's going to be a long night. I thought Until I heard a thud right in front of us. I pushed past Cameron who was frozen in surprise. What I saw was...strange...
