"Telay, get up. I have something to show you." Taste said, shaking Telay out her sleep. She opened her eyes to face him. "Get the fuck up. You got some shit to explain."

Telay instantly sat up, alarmed. He had a deranged look in his eyes and his tone consisted of more anger than necessary. Telay had not told him she was pregnant because they had not been talking since the last time he had hit her, and when they did talk it was not helpful. All they did was bicker at each other. She had been sick for the pass couple weeks and all she had enough energy to do was eat and go back to sleep when he wasn't fighting with her.

"Telay? Are you listening to me?" he asked, waving his hand in front of her face.

She nodded as she climbed out the bed. "Where is Pepsi?" she asked nervously.

"She's downstairs. Get up and see who else is down there." He responded in a threatening tone.

An overwhelming sense of danger formed in her heart. "Why the fuck are you acting like this?"

"Don't play no fucking games, bitch. Why you hiding shit from me?"

"Taste, what are you talking about?"

"Come on, you about to see."

Telay threw on a robe and followed Taste. She stopped at the door when she saw where he wanted her to go.

"What's wrong?" Taste asked with a smile when he noticed that she was not stepping past the basement door.

She was well aware that the basement was used to torture and murder people. Everyone who she ever saw go down there never returned. Except for Taste of course and his men, but there had even been times when he came up without some of them. "Are you about to kill me?" she asked boldly, knowing she was not risking anything if he already had his mind set.

Taste busted out in demonic laughter. "Nah, I ain't bout to kill you. We going to get everything out in the open though." he told her.

"Where is Pepsi, Taste?"

"She's in the basement, she good! I ain't going to do nothing to ya'll. Just keep it real and everything will be cool," he assured her before walking into the basement.

Pepsi was sitting down, waiting on Telay to come down the stairs. Relief swept through Telay's body when she noticed that Pepsi was okay. "What the fuck is going on?" Telay asked, hugging Pepsi.

"It's about Flip, he's...here!" Pepsi told her. Telay looked at a big steel door, assuming Flip was behind it.

"Why you ain't never tell me about Flip?" Taste asked as he opened the big steel door, motioning for Telay and Pepsi to follow him.

Telay stood speechless for a second. "Taste, I did." She spoke softly as she walked the same walk she walked the last time she had shot a man.

The difference now was that the walk she was walking would lead her face to face with Flip. He was tied up to a metal chair. His eyes nearly popped out when he saw Telay and Pepsi. He had known who Taste was, but he had no idea what he had done to get on a man like Taste's bad side. Vomit tried to creep up out of Telay as the familiar smell of death and fear filled her nostrils. She placed her hand over her mouth and folded her body over as if the odor was hurting her.
